You jumped into the water before you could learn how to swim. You are about to drown in your overinflated ego.

I watched the game you obviously did not that's my personal opinion.

Camavinga plays as a Midfielder, against weak Tunisia he was out of his depth and was easily found out ,he was a makeshift LB.

Statistical data in isolation says nothing beyond the indicative, without watching the match and seeing things in context it's really nonsense.

My opinion shared my many who know, not like you who doesn't.
This is the first time i agree with you 100%

Camavinga looked so out of place against Tunisia

The Tanzania feat is up there. However we spin it, he helped Tanzania qualify for the ANC since 1980. Before we say more teams play now, Tanzania didn't qualify for the next edition after the one Amuneke took them to.
Not to scoff at the record but it wasn't as if Tanzania beat a heavyweight to qualify for the tournament. They were grouped with Cape Verde, Lesotho and Uganda. They only qualified because Cape Verde couldn't win their last game.
At the Afcon proper, I don't think they scored a goal. I want Amuneke to succeed if made the Super Eagles handler but he needs a profound and convincing outing on the continent, not results based on luck.

Did Walid Regragui ever win a world title at any level?

Did he also go outside his country to qualify a lesser football nation to a major tournament in 39 years?

You guys keep coming up with "let them do this or that first" but I ask, what Amunike has achieved, did Walid also have to do that as well?

Besides, he is doing it with Zanaco in Zambia currently. Keep up with that.
We pay so much attention to U17 records. That's wrong, totally wrong. U17 championships should be strictly for developmental purposes not something to brag about. It's just like a world cup for secondary schools. An adult can't be bragging about his wins back in his secondary school days.
Zanaco is a big club in Zambia, a perfect platform for Amuneke to launch an assault in the continent just like Zesco did a few years back. He is capable, but he needs to show it.

And how else do teams qualify? Isn't it due to failure of their opponents to pick points?

And at the Afcon Proper they scored 2 goals. That you don't know this shows you are just talking and didn't even watch that team.

Against Algeria, they lost 3-0 but also created 3 big chances which they didn't convert. Tanzania played some brave attacking football. Amunike was still able to make a bunch of underpar and bang underaverage football Players play some decent attacking football.

And something that hasn't been achieved in 39 years is a big deal. That you are trying to play it down is you already scoffing even when you say aren't.

Zanaco was literally struggling and drowning before they engaged Amunike and so far in 12 games, he has already steadied the ship. That says a lot.

He is already showing it but you weren't in the know until now that I mention it.

And U17 coaching records are big deals. Age grade coaching expertise still count especially on the global and continental level. This is exactly what got Luis De la Fuente his current Job as Spain Coach. Recently appointed after Luis Enrique stepped down.

You justify the unjustifiable and are blinded to the obvious by your favouritism and double standard.

Eguavon did not call up Nwakali he was foisted upon the team by the powers that be.

Shehu was not oustanding there were and still are far better players.

Collins selection over Aina was not based on football ⚽ performance and or ability. Aina had the best statistics over all our defenders in that AFCON although he did not get the highest amount of game time.

Aina was and is still way better than Collins irrespective of the fact that he not naturally left footed. Aina is currently in the January transfer window wanted by a plethora of EPL clubs.

Jamilu Collins is now in Cardiff but is struggling to get a game even get in the bench . Meanwhile Seyi Ojo who is haven't mentioned for over 4 seasons is a regular at Cardiff and not good enough for the SE.

The Class of Hakim Ziyech

How Morocco's former coach, Vahid Halilhodzic had an issue with Ziyech is still beyond me. Look at the passionate fellow some tried to make look like the Villain. Smh.

Morocco played good football under Vahid. They were already on their way to building something special but you see, the team won't be complete without Ziyech. They needed that extra bite, that extra technical quality, they needed to be one... so the Moroccan FA was right to bring Ziyech back and kick out Vahid and appoint Walid to take the team to the heights they are capable of reaching. And look at them now....

My emphasis have been his performance on the continent, not Zambia local league. African local leagues can be dubious, clubs can bribe their way to a earn results.
DE LA Fuentes was not promoted from U17s. He was with the Spanish U23s just like Samson Siasia. As you know, U23 is no longer youth football. A player is supposed to have signed pro contract at 19. You have 23yr Olds with 40caps for their national teams these days.
Besides, you have designate youth team coaches. Maybe Manu Garba falls into this category as I'm yet to see anyone clamor for him. Juan Santisteban TROYANO is also on this boat.

Do you remember when Glen Hoddle was in consideration for the Eagle's job, a coach and Manager with world class pedigree.

This is a guy of unquestionable integrity without blemish and a very good management and player record.

He is not hungry he has substantial Wealth and is a born again Christian.

He accepted the position but declined when they asked him to share his salary with NFF officials, he quite rightly was abhorrent and refused in no uncertain terms.

Nigeria can attract the best Managers in the world but our reputation precedes us. And there are many here that will defend the NFF and say they are not corrupt.
I don't think anybody here would defend the corrupt NFF.

The truth is sharing of coaches salary is a situation where the abnormal has become the norm. Just like other facets of Nigerian Society.

It's a pity. And yes, it's good that Glen hoddle rejected that nonsense

Oh gosh got that mixed up thank you.

Well he was on the up in the Bundisliga and rejected very clearly that he was not interested in the SE. Spurious claims of Juju by his Father in the camp.

He is very far from the German national team and decided to play for Nigeria no problems. However, when English Nigerian players do similar there is an outcry by some .

Nathan Tella makes it 3-0 for Burnley. His 7th league goal in 20 league appearances now. On Song.

All I know is that victory or a loss alters analysis. You are the best when you win and awful when you are defeated. Brazil were the best until they lost and all of a sudden I read how Vinicius, how Neymar don't track back. Now Morocco is the best. Okay ooo

Again everybody (except the winner of the final) who is rejoicing now will cry at the semi and the final.

It was his 5th G+A (3G, 2A) of the season across all competitions in 16 games.

Game currently at 39mins.

Sometimes in a game the team may lose the match but were not in neccessrilybeaten.

Let me explain Brazil dominated this game had multiple scoring chances and could easily have had 2/3 goals or more. A combination of excellent goal keeping and a park the bus strategy by Croatia seen them defeat Brazil.

This has been strategy by Croatia.

Brazil lost on penalties very

So much has been said about the state of our football against the backdrop of the ongoing world cup.

That it worked for Morocco does not mean it will work for us.
Morocco has 9 out of her first eleven as FB. We have FBs. E never work for us. (In fact zuchyblink calls FBs, chickens. I wonder what he'd call the Moroccan FBs)

When Saudi won with local players, the word here is that local players are bread and butter.

Morocco has a local coach. We are now fishing for local coach forgetting that we have tried it and Our results were not outstanding.

Am I against FBs? Am I against local coaches? No. I am against spur of the moment copy copy. It doesn't work that way.

Footballing success is a mixture of so many things. When Germany won the world cup in 2014, I read a book Das Reboot detailing how they reorganized their football from way back 2006. The programs stated in that book are still part of German football infrastructure. Yet what is the state of German international football fortunes today? It is disappointing and a failure.

Tiki taka was the darling of international football from 2008-2012. Today - regardless of arguments to the contrary - it is failing.

So it is not by copying whatever approach any winning team is using. The winners approach appears to be the best until he starts failing.

Bottom line is find your own formula. Think, study, be deliberate and be determined. These are qualities we lack. Our team used to play with so much believe and determination. Not anymore.

I agree with your premise and the perfect example is the two legged world cup qualifying matches between Nigeria and Ghana.

I agree with you about the excellent exploits of the Croatian GK but Croatia attacked Brazil from the onset. Go look at the stats as per possession. Brazil did not dominate play. In fact Croatia took hold of the midfield and shut down the marauding runs of Vinicius and Richarlison.

They did not pack the bus rather they defended well.

The point really is not about winning or losing. It is about how fickle our opinions are. Your last sentence is a typical example considering that Brazil lost on penalties. If they had won, your opinion would have been different. So there are no real objective analysis of a team.
