I have dated 2 single mom's so far.

And from my experience being a mom unlocks a level of O.T in women that is absent in single babes.

My current babe na single mom and she's the sweetest girl I've ever dated. She had her child when she was 18. The child is with her grandma so it's not a problem now

My only problem is the future. What happens when Grandma is no more? And for that I have doubts in my head if it'll lead to a permanent relationship.

Love is not everything. It is always an extremely complicated affair, and life is already complicated enough for a man.

I understand that some single mothers are just unfortunate victims of wicked irresponsible men, but they move on to you carrying emotional baggages. You don't need someone else's emotional baggages.

And women are known for emotional baggages. If they have been through a lot in a previous relationship, the person who will suffer will be the man unfortunate to get into their messed up life.

In countries where mental health is accorded great attention, things like this are better managed. But in Nigeria, girls move away from terrible relationships without first seeking counselling. They go with many emotional baggages and end up as demons in their next relationship.

That is why I avoid single mothers like the plague.

And then, there is the issue of raising someone else's child. Nowadays, men are running away from their own responsibility, not to talk of someone else's responsibilities.

And the truth is, some of these women may not tell you the whole truth. They may lie and cast the father of the child in bad light just in their desperation to seek your sympathy. They may have other dark secrets. There may even be a reason why the father of the child did not marry them.

I don't like a life of drama. Single ladies' wahala is already big enough without me adding single mothers' own join.

No it's not at all bad to have a child out of wedlock in my opinion. I don't understand why people here make such a big deal out of it. There's nothing wrong with it. Just Nigerians and their nonsense religiosity and morality.
But most guys just don't want to be responsible, especially financially for a child that's not their own that's all. It's not that single moms are bad people, most are actually very nice, hardworking women who really love their children. Men just don't want that responsibility. Though if I were a guy I wouldn't mind. I would not run away from a woman who's a single mom just because of that, as long as she has a good character.
