Look at the way they are dealing with this man for daring to expose corruption. They did not look at his tribe or religion. They dealt with him. And some people still want to reinforce corruption in 2023. People that may not even be better off than this man. Make una continue. You are eating the future of your children. |

It is the same corrupt driven souls that are still backing Tinubu to sit there; both Tinubu and Atiku have a lot of favour to grant to those who made it possible. Unlike Peter Obi whom the masses are even sponsoring themselves to be there. 1 Like |

All this problem won't have been happening if we had removed subsidy, and allowed the market to set their prices. Because fuel costs N180 here and N400 and above in all our neighbours, smuggling is a way of life. Not just the big people the customs man exposed, the small Nigerians too do the same thing. At the end, no matter how you will put it, if I can buy petrol at N180 here and sell it above N300 in Niger, or Cameroon, that is enough profit for me to bribe customs, and even still take a lot of money home. If we removed subsidy, none of the smuggling would be happening, and the customs man would not be in detention. Our desire for cheap fuel is why the customs man is in detention. But everytime government says we want to remove subsidy, people protest and cry. They did it in 1993, and they have done it several times since. Yes, prices will go up, yes we would be poor. But because fuel prices are the same as our neighbours....all the smugglling nonsense will stop. Yes, APC should not have opposed fuel subsidy removal in 2012. I said it here. I will always say it, that the decision to oppose subsidy removal in 2012 by Bubu, Tinubu, labour and most Nigerians was wrong and is why we are here. And I am no PDP supporter. The thing called subsidy is a scam. It is not helping the poor, it is denying us jobs, and keeping an innocent man in jail for effing nothing (although those who put him there have cases to answer. Instead of doing their jobs, they are allowing all manner of corrupt movement in exchange for filthy lucre) |

Although, the custom officer erred by snubbed his superiors call and directive. When they call him to release those tankers, is either he followed the directive or resigned from the corrupted organization. The panel set up to question him can nail him for insurbodination and subsequent demotion or retire. You can't fight cabals, drug barons, smugglers alone and win. But on a final note, let human right fight for this man. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Only God knows the state and condition of the gallant police officer who arrested Kano deputy governor for electoral offence during the last general elections. It's such a pity. And it's such a pity that Nigerians these days queue behind and worship their tormentors |

Lol then nnpc will come out to say we consume over 70 million liters of fuel per daily....after selling our subsidized fuel to neighbouring at a give away price.....this why fuel subsidy is becoming too expensive for Fg. Remove all this fuel theft and stuff...there is no way Nigeria consumes more than 40 million liters of fuel per day....how many Nigerians can even afford a vehicle. Nigeria is gone Abeg, even if peter obi ends up winning, he will become another Jonathan.....a man with good intentions for Nigerians but frustrated by very powerful corrupt cabals. 6 Likes |

Subsidy MUST BE REMOVED If not for some corrupt, selfish, ignorant & greedy Nigerians, who in his/her right mind would be destroying his country......D funny thing is, those African countries way they allow these smugglers in thier country ONLY MOSTLY ALLOW ILLEGALS, UNDOCUMENTED PEOPLE TO COME ACROSS PLUS GUNS from their side of the border into Nigeria.... 2 Likes |

Masterito: Government information that indicated the US government may have been violating the privacy of its citizens via a very illegal mass surveillance programme...which is something of a touchy thing for many US citizens (there is a reason why former US president Nixon got impeached and had to resign, and why many of his officials went to prision..attempting surveillance on Nixon's enemies...one of his officials went to prision for attempting to release private medical records, obtained illegally, about one of Nixon's critics.). The thing about surveillance in the USA...you have to, if you are a law enforcement officer 1) get a court order 2)have reasonable cause before you place anyone under surveillance. What the NSA and the government was doing roughly amounted to mass electronic surveillance sans legal backing. (This was something similar to what the Ministry of State Security of the old German democratic republic used to do on its citizens...and they were not as sophisticated as the USA). That is what Snowden revealled. I am not his fan, but at the end of the day, while what he did was illegal, and he disobeyed orders (as an NSA man he should have kept his mouth shut)...he still did something similar to what customs man did...and they are both being punished for insubordination. |
