chrisooblog:So going by your logic, Mbappe singlehandedly won the 2018 WC and singlehandedly carry them to this year's final. Great...just great |

typicalgamer:Who do you think will replace Grizzy in that french team? France can bench mbappe and there won't be a slight drop in their team quality. |

charlesemeka85:I've not done a study but from a very perfunctory glance. I think there may be more players from Cote De Voire than there are Nigerian in the EPL. Considering that Nigeria has a historical colonial legacy with the British that seems strange. I've often wondered are there more black people or rather African origin people in France than there are in the UK ❓ Anytime I look at the French team it's no longer a debate it's African and not even mixed heritage but pure blooded African. I've been to France several times and I really cannot tell |

Meanwhile see Wahala for Argentina, Benzema is back from injury and could play against Argentina. They Argentina will not be happy at that news |

komekn:If Benzema is back, they should keep him on the bench, no way he would be match fit so that another Lukaku episode doesn't happen. No point rushing anyone from injury. The only concern for France is that Giroud looked injured and I heard Rabiot was very sick. Btw does anyone know if any of France or Argentina's players will miss out cos of accumulated yellow cards? |

AndSunGorilla:Bro if benzema is fit to play let him start Dt name alone will send shivers to d spine of Sargentine defenders Besides,a benzema on d pitch in his normal day can do and undo ![]() |

elyte89:You absolutely correct but no matter how good a player is, match rustiness is for real, I don't believe he would be as sharp as he should be or even match fit. Also I would think that if Benzema starts Giroud might have to be sacrificed right. Giroud's aerial ability would worry the short Argentine defenders. |

caprikon:So how then can it be said that Deschamps is akin to Rohr. What did Rohr do with the talents he had at his disposal? I'd tell you what he did. He kept on undermining the players by telling them they came to the world cup to learn. At other times, he cried it up that we did not have players like Okocha and Kanu dem that can match Modric or Messi. You see what Morocco has achieved? Did you see how Herve Renard charged up the Saudi Arabians? Go watch our world cup 94 match against Italy. When the camera panned towards Westerhof the commentator said: "this is Westerhof, Nigeria's coach. He said that he's here to win the World Cup". If Deschamps did it by trial and error the first time, qualifying for a final back to back (regardless of outcome of the final on Sunday) firmly shows that he's not as limited as we are made to think. |

chrisooblog:Let me use your own logic against you but in relation to the Euros. Mbappe was in the Euros 2021, if he was so great why didn't he help France win it? Not my logic but yours. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by AndSunGorilla: 7:29pm On Dec 15, 2022 |
Mujtahida:Exactly and I remember he took a modest Monaco to the UCL knocking out some favorites along the way before losing to a specially organized Porto coached by the Special One at his prime (lol). The thing with him is that he seems cautious and doesn't go gung-ho which anyone can expect with the talents France has. |

Benzema is invited by FFF to attend the world cup but he will not travel to Qatar. Karim wanted to be part of the squad as a fan. But he is hurt by the fact that his national team manager doesn't want his return. Karim could've been back for the quarterfinals. He played in a friendly against Leganes today. |

Mujtahida:You had to throw that one in, lol. Man for man, France has exceptionally talented players, Mbappe, Griezmann, Dembele are way beyond the usual kind of players. This is a team that can play so well without missing solid players like Pogba, Kante and the MVP in the world now Benzema. Players like Digne, wesley Fonfana, Ferlan Mendy are not in the team for various reasons. This is sort of their time, too many options for them. |

Mbappe has already delivered winning the highest international trophy on earth the world cup. Griezmann played Euro and World Cup he won nothing. The entry of Kylian has changed the trajectory of the French national team they are now back to back finalists with Mbappe being the starboy. Mujtahida: |
