If the likes of China and Russia are serious about toppling the west, they should become a free country first. It is that simple.

Imagine what China will do if it has more leverage across the world.

As for China building trains in Africa, it benefits China more, it is not out of love for Africa. China provides the loan, use their companies and resources to execute it. The money they provide goes back to China. We end up owing them billions that didn't trickle down to our own economy. Unfortunately those trains are not viable enough to pay back those debt and China doesn't care.
China will only build trains and ports in Africa but will never be interested in solving Nigeria power problem for instance and you know why? If Nigeria solves it's electricity problems, it will become a direct competitor to China as a manufacturing hub. A lot of companies in China would start moving to Nigeria cos Nigeria will become a cheaper alternative since we have lower labour cost compared to China. China knows this fact and that is why they would only fund projects that provide the illusion of development to the African politicians but will not address the issues that will make a massive impact in African development cos they also know that Africa can become the new China if certain things are in place.

At the end of the day, there is no love anywhere in the world. Both the west, China Russia etc all care about their strategic interests and don't give a damn about you. You have a country whose citizens are in fear and bondage and you think they wouldn't extend it to the world if they become the world super powers? China sanctioned Australia cos Australia called for the investigation into covid 19 that affected the whole world and China felt angry and banned Australian goods that sell to Chinese market. Imagine what China will do if it has more leverage across the world.

As for China building trains in Africa, it benefits China more, it is not out of love for Africa. China provides the loan, use their companies and resources to execute it. The money they provide goes back to China. We end up owing them billions that didn't trickle down to our own economy. Unfortunately those trains are not viable enough to pay back those debt and China doesn't care.
China will only build trains and ports in Africa but will never be interested in solving Nigeria power problem for instance and you know why? If Nigeria solves it's electricity problems, it will become a direct competitor to China as a manufacturing hub. A lot of companies in China would start moving to Nigeria cos Nigeria will become a cheaper alternative since we have lower labour cost compared to China. China knows this fact and that is why they would only fund projects that provide the illusion of development to the African politicians but will not address the issues that will make a massive impact in African development cos they also know that Africa can become the new China if certain things are in place.

At the end of the day, there is no love anywhere in the world. Both the west, China Russia etc all care about their strategic interests and don't give a damn about you. They are only trying to use you to further their own strategic goals. It is now left for Africa to be wise and have it's own strategic interest too.

But then, I'll still prefer the west at least for the fact that they have tried to create a free and open society that makes live more meaningful.
Left for the likes of China and Russia, nairaland in which we are using to Express our opinion will not exist and even if it exists, it will work like Weibo in China where it is heavily censored and you can go to jail or be disappeared for saying something that authorities don't like to hear.
