Given that election is behind the corner and also in view of the high cost of food stuff, he might surprise us.

Soludo is giving out N15,000 to Anambra civil servants as Christmas bonus. Then a rich state like Rivers state shouldn't seat on the fence.

Going forward, we shouldn't vote someone who hasn't worked nor managed any business of his before delving into politics. Wike's problem stems from the fact that he hasn't worked under any paid employment under anyone. That's why he treats workers with crass disdain.

His bonus has been over taken by events.
200k SA for polling units is his interests.

Some Teachers are seriously campaigning for SIM FUGBARA.

I nolonger pity our situation.

A good number of our Teachers are also amongst the Newly appointed 200 SA's

We are in for a long thing.

Wikes sim will win and nothing will happen. We can only lament but for me I have made my arrangements.

What governor Wike can't do for Rivers State workers. Other smaller State governors are doing them to put smiling face on their workers.

December alert has been seen by someone from Zenith Bank and other banks will definitely follow suit as the day progresses. I hope we can now reduce the venom a little bit.

Must be one of the governor's special assistants here or a government agent, but never a teacher. A teacher in Rivers State will not talk like this..I rest my case

Rivers state teachers haven't been promoted for over 7+ years. They have been on one particular salary for years. The rate of inflation has rendered their meager pay very insignificant in meeting their daily needs. A 50kg of rice is over #40,000. And may I also remind you that teachers in Britain have signified their intention in embarking on strike by next year over the high cost of living.

Is it crime to ask for a better deal? And mind you there is a nexus between motivation and the performance of teachers. So before you take a swipe at teachers you also must understand their ordeal.


By next year, the Rivers state government will lose most of her teachers to brain drain. A government that doesn't value the significant role of teachers.

scroll back to early pages to see the zeal and energy put in, 9yrs after and you are on one spot you definitely lost motivation and look for other means to help yourself that's what you now see here, frustration and anger, even the salary can not settle debt.

You shld jst ignore him/her. Some ppl dnt deserve ur attention.

Is it compulsory to buy a 50kg bag of rice? When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Human Capital Development is the key to unlocking one's potential. Teaching in this clime is a low-income job, so once you become a teacher, the smart thing to do is have multiple streams of income to augment the meagre salary. Petty trading can be done in your spare time, after all, we don't go to school everyday unfailingly. As for me, I took loan and set up foodstuff business. As long as my kids are not starving, financial pressure is reduced. When you keep complaining without any proactive steps to better your situation, it makes no sense at all.

The issue is a national problem, Nigeria is sinking fast....a country where your rent is above Ur monthly salary, where u don't have power
Now what can u buy with the highest denomination(1000) ....
Until our the economy is made stable it will get tough even if teachers are paid 1million u will find out that u can't live on it.
Finally our country is lawless

I haven't seen an NNPC staff or an oil servicing firm staff whose yearly rent allowance is 3millions and earning atleast 300k complaining like we do ...we are not trying to compare ours selves with them....but they are motivated to do their jobs because they are taken care of and work in a conducive environment,....I work in a place where I don't have a staff room, I hang around, the classroom are licking and full of algae a except this dry season...no promotion, no increment nothing....and one smart mouth wants to put a label on us....we have an endemic system that needs to be corrected.....teachers need their reward on earth...
