deygar: Timing is what determines if you can eat your food or not. If you take it out too soon or too late, it's not the same taste and quality. This is so basic i feel worried having to break it down. Nigerians came out en masse to protest and show their displeasure when the federal government announced the removal of the fuel subsidy, around the time the contents of the 2012 budget revealed excessive amounts given to frivolities. |

What an irony? So the FG is subsidizing fuel for Niger, Cameroon and others? Why would Nigerians pay the same amount for fuel with other countries? The best is for the FG to subsidize fel for the citizens of Nigeria and let foreigners pay more. |

It very clear that some people here can’t read talk less to understand. How can we be subsidising fuel consumption of Cameroon, of Niger, of Benin Republic. No matter how long you protest, we are going to remove subsidy,” he emphatically stated. He doesn’t mean Nigerian, can you see the country listed. |

Image123: Removing the subsidy 2012 when the economy was still manageable and people still had it good would've been far better than now when the economy is so harsh and biting real bad... removing it now would be so disastrous for the common man.. It has to be done and it would've been better if it was removed long ago. As for you people who see white and turn it into black,it is only God that will have mercy on you. 2 Likes |

Anybody that supports Tinubu on this is an irredeemable fool, this goes to show that more misery awaits those that cheers him up now. Before any reasonable President can even think of removing petrol subsidy completely, he/she needs to first get the true figure for the cost of subsidy on PMS, then effectively bring down cost of governance by at least 40% by merging Agencies and MDA's, sponsor an executive Bill that will prune down jumbo pay for Lawmakers and other politicians, block all loopholes for corruption. All these are achievable if the resolve and the will is there. Petrol subsidy is the only thing that the poor and the down trodden are benefiting from Nigeria presently, every other benefits has been cornered by the minority elites. Just imagine earning 60k salary and having to spend over 45k on transportation to and from workplace monthly, because for sure PMS will be above 500 naira per litre after full subsidy removal, so for those in Lagos, from Mile 2 to CMS bus stop will be like 600-700 naira, from Oshodi to Obalende will be 1000 naira or more. Let some people continue to support nonsense. Las Las the breakfast will reach everybody. 1 Like |
