The main reason I never wanted to put any rules or measures in the contest, in the 1st place (before suggestions poured in, to do so), was because I didn't want anybody's feelings getting hurt over a mere contest - like it happened with our boss's then, which changed the face of holding contest in this FTA's forum.

For you to know I checked thoroughly, there was one XAUUSD Sell trade u took on the 13th and closed on the 15th; I was looking to see if you opened more trades in between 13th and 14th till that very 15th that you eventually closed d Gold Sell trade , but no such. Any big loss you see or experience is not as a result of something you do not know about the market. But it’s as a result of something you do not know about yourself.

Before you start thinking you’re different from others or your brain is the best in the world or the best thinker or super man or never say die attitude motivation you give yourself daily while on the search for the holy grail strategy, come back to reality. Trading is not your doctorate degree or masters. It’s not about how deep your knowledge or research is about the market.


Spend more time mastering psychology and stop looking for holy grail strategy because there isn’t any.


Demo trade for at least 3 months until you find consistency.
When you have an edge (a setup that has a high probability of something happening over another) , create a rule around it and be consistent with it such that every loss is considered a normal loss and every win is considered a normal win.

Since trading is a game of probability, it means you are not different from those playing casino games or betting. In fact they have better emotions than forex traders because they do not give themselves guarantee that “this particular spin must be a win”.

Guys, a single trade is gamble because you definitely don’t know if the outcome of that trade will be a win or loss, but a series of 20 trades without going against your rule is business since you know the percentage range of profit at the end of 20 total trades you take.

This is why the owners of Casino makes so much money. They don’t know who will lose or win but they understand that probability is in their favor at the end.

In this game of trading:

Psychology is 60%
Money Management is 30%
Strategy is 10%.

Why waste your time looking for that holy grail strategy that never fails?
