Yes. Your assertion is logical. If it was Nigeria, the narrative would have been THE BOYFRIEND TRAVELLED TO GHANA. As Nigerians see Ghana as Ghana and not northern or southern Ghana. But someone based in Ghana will say he has travelled to the northern part of the country.

I think it's Ghana not Nigeria.

Why you no bet your own blokos? cheesy cheesy

Actually it's possible the landlord actually didn't know the girl before. But knowing some landlords he probably already tried to sleep with the girl so when the girl was sick he naturally became responsible for her. This is just speculation though.
My blokos too get swag.

Another sign of a third world country. Her body could have been moved to morgue and it is govt who will sort out how to contact her family through their database.

That girl death no pure.

The landlord's story no add up. The lady rented the apartment in November and by December her rent is due. Typically, rent in most parts of Nigeria is paid annually and sometimes a two-year advance is required for new tenants.

I suspect her boyfriend as well. Did he even bother to call while she was sick?
And why has he refused to show up.

Either way, I suspect she has been used.
This is a lesson to y'all live-in unmarried couples.
It's a furnished apartment

The police remains your best bet in solving difficult issues like this but sadly most Nigerians don't trust the police enough.

If the police really wants to work, they can track down the alleged boyfriend and sister who absconded when she died.
But no one has bribed...oh sorry, paid mobilisation fee to the police to do that.

When you see them carrying bears up & down, claiming IT, Developers, doing fine boys....babes look well it might be one ritualist posing as a Techie or yahoo boy. Sha if your head strong, even if he do you anything, he too go collect! As for me, i don't forgive or forget. In-fact one deity for my village has already been paid to execute swift justice to anyone who secretly or openly try to harm me. So i no dey fear person!

It does not fit in the story. I'm not sure the landlord is a Yoruba man, so it must have a different meaning in his language

No but the confidence the lady has in sending for the landlord and not any other person and also the landlord's willingness to drop that amount of money.
