The fight was in regards to who has the power to take custody of the artefacts. There was high wire politics between the governor and the palace since last year. But the oba prevailed in the end. He personally paid visit to the villa with palace chiefs in this regards. Buhari personally directed the minister of information and culture to hand them over directly to the oba who's the custodian of such traditional properties in the Benin kingdom.
