They should demand for something that would personally pain the man. That 8 billion would be paid from tax money. Everything the man has have to be sold and given to the slain lawyers family. Then the police officer and his family would have to go and do menial jobs, each month, him and his entire family would submit 93% of all the money they made that month to Bolanle's family. This would have to do this for the rest of their lives Any police officer that kills a citizen should me made to face this punishment 1 Like |

Zonefree:Accountability is a basic tenet of any healthy society. While I understand that it is a concept many Nigerians aren't familiar with, this is exactly the right course of action. The reason why the government has continually played passive with matters of police brutality amongst other things is because they aren't held accountable. The criminal part is sending the police officer to prison, the civil part is the family of the deceased receiving a sizeable compensation for thier loss. 4 Likes |
