NW is made up of 7 states with a quarter (largest) of Nigeria’s total voting population.
NE is made up of 6 states with 13% of the voting population.

Together (2 zones) they make up 37-38% of the voting power in the country. The rest of the 4 zones in the country make up 63% of the voting population. So yes the core north is important.

The core north is essentially a third (1/3) of the country’s votes.

Tinubu cannot win without the core north neither can Obi.

If they must quit PDP, they must protect their political ambition as well by choosing a promising political party

With the overwhelming support of the core north for Buhari, he still lost the elections until buhari aligned with the SW.
Go and check 2011 elections. Someone did a research. He said if Gej recorded zero votes. He still won the elections with 17 million votes. While the 2nd runner up had 12 million votes. And guess what, he(GEJ) still fulfilled the Inec requirement of 25% from 24 states including the FCT. so baba. What do you have to say for yourself. If you doubt me you can check it out yourself.

I laugh at the likes of you that are under the erroneous insinuation that Obi is struggling for support in the East.
The Kanu debacle should have taught you people a lesson on the mentality of the Igbos..The Igbos are the easiest people to lead and get their fanatical support only if you just say the truth.

There is no way in politics all the G-5 governors will support APC. It just can't happen bros. I foresee a split or neutrality. Wike for fear of intimidation after office and Makinde for APC. The other 3 for Obi based on local politics.
