It would be good if you join us back home if you have sure connection to get sustainable job. Imo state is free, and you enjoy the night life and if you mind your business its okay as well. Get to work early and all that but if job no secure go PH.

There's insecurity in the country as a whole right now. As for light, they're trying 15-20hrs, depending on your location

Is there 24hr Light? And how about insecurity [/quote]

Madam, nothing like they are trying. We have bad governance and the cabals don't want things to be better for Nigeria because of their selfish interests. Yet, we claimed that we are Giant of Africa. Ordinary Ghana, have 24hours constant light, I am not even talking about security yet.

This is a good one. I live in the heart of Uyo three years. Where I reside has steady light since we are on a prepaid network. I use broadband internet as there are companies that render wifi to home services here.
I will say life here is more affordable than Lagos and since you say you work online, you would not have to mind that good office jobs are scarce here.
I am planning on relocating from here abroad though. My major draw back is selling off all my many properties. If you choose Uyo and do not have properties, I wouldn't mind doing a rent and property transfer.
By the way, I am inspired by your post. I am in my early thirties and I sometimes get depressed about where I am at right now. Somehow, knowing that someone older than me is optimistic about life in general gives hope.

Let's sell off those properties swiftly and at a good price... DM

Hi

I want to leave Lagos in the new year. I'm tired of the stress, high cost of everything and chaos.
The problem is I can't really make up my mind on where to go, what city is best for me and my business, my life and needs, therefore i opened this thread to seek advice from people who live or have been to these areas i have in mind to relocate to.

My opinions are...

1. Enugu
2. Uyo *(Akwa Ibom)
3. Calabar (Cross Rivers)
4. Port Harcourt

I'm an Igbo guy from Imo state. I work online so can move anywhere as long as i see good light and fast internet.
And something else... I'm kind of a late bloomer in life. Things no enter for me early so I'm still single at 40. But I earn well now, thanks to God, and so I'm seriously searching for a nice lady to settle down with. A city with lots of marriageable single girls around (even semi-educated one who are generally more humble) is high on my priority list.

The city I have in mind as the best fit is Enugu but due to insecurity in the SE I'm open to other opinions.

Please advice me based on your experence.

Education can be bought good character can't. Most pro hookup girls in Lagos Abuja ph even owrri are undergrad students and unemployed graduates

They are the ones that make price of hookup pass 20k a night.

Wow...
Thanks for this, I'm inspired by your feedback, my mind is at rest now. I'm in my early thirties, and I was already thinking that I'm not on track, even though God has been faithful to me. Happy New Year in advance.
Well as Nigerian men we are seen as tough and should never show signs of emotional weaknesses but deep inside we go through a lot from thinking about what the future holds.

There are jobless people older than me who are still single. My young3r sis is married. Fixing life for a better tomorrow is what matters

If I may ask why are you still single in the midst of plenty? I have it on good authority that girls there are quite good looking and plentiful and don't mind marrying older men. So why are you single ?
I really need to know before I land myself in the same environment
I moved on here from calabar and I am deltan. It has been a hassle for me to meet like minds here and that is a major deal breaker for friendships. Cultural differences and beliefs also play a part.

I'm happy that you're about to sell your priorities in Nigeria to move abroad. That's what we want. Where are the properties located? We can buy them.

Please don't come back to Nigeria o. But first sell all what you've labored hard for in Nigeria before u move

I am located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
I have always been a believer in Nigeria and that belief has cost me quite a lot. I have to set my feet or new and hopefully better grounds so yeah the hope is out there.

Doesn't sound too expensive and yet you say this place is very peaceful? Not heavily congested with people and noise Lagos?
Are the surroundings as developed and lovely like VI and Lekki etc?

How many minutes is it by bus from that area to Oshodi, Lagos?

Yes, that is the average price u can get 2bedroom in the three area (Magboro, warewa & Arepo) but there's higher cost for categories of some apartments in that area too, depends on your taste of satisfaction.
Should not be up to 30minutes drive with private car to Oshodi because is just like 15minutes drive from Magboro, Arepo to ojodu-berger.
Call or WhatsApp: +2348135102690 if u are serious about the apartment needs

You are absolutely right. The impression is very bad, and so many men are dying in silence. May God help us all.
