He forced his son to marry the daughter of his personal / business friend (baba Ijebu). The mother of the son (his ex wife) took him to Court and used legal and spiritual means to end the marriage. The Yorubas don't take him as important, it is only the North that Idolize him because he has served them.

On Tinubu'case, I have documented that severally. Obasanjo fought Tinubu for eight years, Tinubu overcome him. Tinubu is more intelligent than him. Tinubu is more courageous than him. As President, he fought Tinubu on all grounds but Tinubu overcome him. Obasanjo doesn't want a man of intellect, insight and courage to rule Nigeria. He believes he is the best. Obasanjo's endorsement has no value not only in Yoruba land, but also in the northern part of Nigeria. The man is an old vindictive human being that doesn't forgive or forget. He has had envious issues with Tinubu for over 24 yrs. Obj is an opportunist.. He never really worked to earn whatever he became in Nigeria..Tinubu is far ahead of him in terms of political clout, influence & weight in the southwest..

What many people don't know is Obasanjo doesn't want any other person from his Tribe to attain the same political postition as his.. He so much love the tagging of being the only President from the South west or the longest serving Nigeria President/head of State.. The Latter was the sole reason he ganged up Against Buhari in 2019 & also GEJ in 2015.If GEJ had won in 2015,he would have spent approximate 10years & half as President..
