I'm also surprise too. Tinubu has not even attained half of what OBJ had attained. How would you be envious of someone that can't even lace your shoe. |

koboko69: Who gave you Yaradua as your president in 2007? Who gave you GEJ as your president in 2011? Who did Obasanjo support in 2015? You see, sometimes hatred and shallowness blocks the reasoning of some of you guys that you cannot think straight. |

OBASANJO IS ALWAYS WORKING AGAINST YORUBA PRESIDENCY. SIMPLY BECAUSE HE WANTS TO REMAIN THE ONLY YORUBA MAN THAT RULED THIS COUNTRY TILL HE DIES. THE SAME WAY HE WORKED AGAINST ABIOLA IS WHAT HE IS DOING NOW. BUT THIS TIME, HE WILL FAIL BECAUSE JAGSBAN IS COMING. |
Re: Why Should Obasanjo Be Envious Of Tinubu? (picture) by Penguin2: 4:10pm On Jan 04, 2023 |
babaolofin: I’m happy you recognize that the north idolizes Obasanjo like a god. And in this instance, it is that his influence in the north that is needed, not what some Yoruba think of him. Besides, you don’t expect Obasanjo, a Christian, to have supported Muslim Muslim leadership upon Nigeria. He fought it then, he will still fight it now. And like he defeated Abiola, he will defeat Tinubu too. Deal with it. |

babaolofin:Some of you will just open your mouth spewing nonsense without thinking. Go and check the meaning of inferiority complex and come back and edit junk you put up here. OBJ has attained the highest post in the land as far back as 1979 when Tinubu was still searching for degree. How would somebody be envious of someone that cannot even lace his shoes. Everything man needed from God, OBJ had received them, so, why would he be envious of someone still begging to be somebody. Political jobbing should not make you lose your inner content. I know if he has endorsed Tinubu you wouldn't have written this your bile epistle to denigrate his person but you will hail him to high heavens. And to be reasonable enough, OBJ was the same man that brought GEJ as vice president, supported him to be president in 2011. It's not everybody that loses their senses just because they're supporting someone. National interest supercedes the individual interest that some of you doesn't know and killing yourself for such individual. In 2015 that he was to support same GEJ he told the whole world that GEJ didn't perform to expectation and went supporting PMB. I know if it were you, you will still stick to your man at the expense of the national interest but he went to support PMB to fulfil his national conscience. And when PMB did not performed to his expectation, he went supporting Atiku, just because of Peter Obi and now that Obi is the one vying directly what do you expect him to do? To lick your presidential candidate ass. Ordinary endorsement now turned you in and out. This is serious. |

Obasanjo has never been rated by SouthWest. Even in 1999; he lost the SW to Olu Falae despite being a Yorubaman. Over the years and throughout his career, his allies have always been Northerners. Tinubu is organically loved by Yorubas like Abiola was. |

yemex04:Where are the antecedents? Please can you list them. And where are the track records that we don't know? During the reign between 1999 - 2007, the names we hear are Peter Odili of Rivers state, Makarfi of Kaduna state, Donald Duke of Cross Rivers state. These are the names renting the newspapers then on their developmental stride in their state. How you people want to sell dummy to people is what I don't know. Tinubu was just an average governor during his tenure. It was Fashola that came and changed the face of governance and turnaround Lagos state. Please which talent? Do you need person with two heads to rule Lagos. Lagos peculiarity doesn't need a superstar to manage it because of abundance of opportunities abound there. The worst governor in Nigeria can become a superstar in Lagos. Didn't Aregbesola, Oyetola, Tunde Fowler, Lai Mohammed worked with Tinubu in Lagos during his tenure, what do they do extraordinarily outside Lagos? Can you tell me and the rest what they did that is unique outside? Again, what did Fashola also do when superintendent over the power sector, what the power not get worst that people has to name him Minister of Darkness. Remember he was the one that said, production and distribution of power is not a rocket science but for almost 3 years, he couldn't do anything there. Even in the ministry of works that is supervising, you know the debt his ministry alone has incurred for the nation, meaning he can only function where there is enough money and without it, he can do nothing. If Tinubu has manage a state like Nassarawa with its just little resources and he turned it to wonders, then, we know that he has genuity but not with state with abundance of resources. Leadership quality that makes people to be subservient to him. Check those that have worked under him and hate been subservient, how did he treat them? |

Penguin2:Hahahaha... Are u talking about "Umoru are you alive"? His 3rd term agenda by proxy? Even though Yaradua was terminally ill then, he still imposed him on PDP, now you tout that as an achievement but have a problem with people supporting BAT cos to you clowns he is old and sick. Una hypocrisy no be here. Who was the opposition to PDP then when baba wanted to make Nigeria a one party country . GEJ also contested under PDP as a sitting president in PDP after taking over from dead Yaradua....who will he support before? Virtually the whole nation supported GEJ that was why he won. |

Penguin2:Not same obasanjo that was jailed? Not same obasanjo that was again threatened of jail by Jonathan regime? Not same obasanjo that wanted to be UN sec Gen but was discarded as unqualified? Be civilized enough to know that no country can interfere in another country's leadership selection. Obasanjo is only hiding under Nigeria past glory, obasanjo has no personal glory, same way any clean nigerian business men, academics, professionals are celebrated all over the world. Obasanjo is a mere lucky overrated opportunist that was coronated as president in 1999 to help sustain status quo of Nigeria vicious circle. If obasanjo was this important, can you compare him with Theophilus danjuma before 1999? Ofcourse not, that is to tell you that Theophilus danjuma was the real deal after the death of muritala till 1999, he actually installed both obasanjo and yaradua and watched over them. Obasanjo can only boast of N20000 home and abroad before 1999 while danjuma was a multi billionaire, all these is to let you know obasanjo has never been a serious force to reckon with, a mere errand of keeping nigeria status quo as taken over from aguyi ironsi. Aguyi ironsi destroyed nigeria fundamentally out of greed and envy, he introduced single line of command in nigeria, after he was taken out, the northerners saw potency of that singular order that can make or mar coexistence of Nigeria. Nothing like obasanjo speak hausa and he will speak hausa to northern elders on what to do. Comeoff it man, this is not village tales by moonlight. |

shegz24: The Southwest doesn’t like Tinubu like Tinubu BATstards would have you believe. You can’t compare Tinubu’s place in the hearts of Yoruba people to how they saw Awolowo and Abiola. |

Penguin2:It is subjective, Dangote readily comes to mind. He has singlehandedly done what Nigeria as a country could not do, he is putting food on the tables in almost all african countries. Obasanjo is in the class of potable, people will still listen to him. |

shegz24:Which of the protege? Remember he never supported Fayemi for his second term, it was Daramola he supported and they even planned to play smart to choose a consensus but it was aborted. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/05/ekiti-tinubu-akande-root-apc-consensus-candidate/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwi5tb-Sq7D8AhWpQaQEHfEUBFYQFnoECCUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0wbPEZPlfDttSQhS0xtCiF Same he never supported Arakunrin Akeredolu he supported Oke in the primary and Arakunrin beat him mercilessly https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/209773-updated-ondo-2016-akeredolu-defeats-tinubus-candidate-apc-primary.html&ved=2ahUKEwjQm4vFqrD8AhV1TKQEHQhFDFQQFnoECBEQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0qkcZ38salmKpuDOLmG4yy If the two of them are like him, they won't even support him but they are only playing politics of party men. Even in the last gubernatorial primary election in Ekiti, his group rooted for Adeyeye https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/01/25/tinubus-group-endorses-adeyeye-for-ekiti-apc-governorship-primary-election/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwi5tb-Sq7D8AhWpQaQEHfEUBFYQFnoECA8QAQ&usg=AOvVaw0C2kGAe3PETBOGi-ZzDUtR. He always want to control everywhere and that was why never supported the governors of Ekiti and Ondo but they all contested and won. It was the same game he played against Aregbesola that caused the feud between them till date. Because of his ambition he never want anyone to be like him, always want to dictate who to be who in his party but nemesis always catches up with him. Aside from Lagos that he has a strong stranglehold on, no part of south west that he has that strong hold. No doubt what is working for him in south west is the APC structure in place and no more. Aside from Fayemi with his forgiven spirit that is following him about, do you see the rest doing that? Tinubu is the most greedy politician in south west and it shows in his words. Have you seen anyone that worked with him that he allowed to be godfather in their respective state, he still dictate to them and never want to give them free hand but those ones always outsmarted him, only Aregbesola could not do that and APC later paid dearly for it. If he has allowed Aregbesola to take charge, it won't have gone worst for APC in Osun but he want to be controlling everywhere because of his personal ambition. |
