In fact, the only two birthdays mentioned in Scripture were celebrated by wicked rulers — Pharaoh and Herod — and both occasions ended in bloodshed. Pharaoh executed his servant, and Herod used his birthday feast to order the beheading of John the Baptist.

Have we also forgotten how the Most High allowed the death of Job’s children while they were feasting “each on his day,” and how Job continually sanctified himself on their behalf, fearing they had sinned during such celebrations?

Even in modern times, according to information publicly available, the Church of Satan regards the celebration of one’s birthday as one of the highest forms of self‑worship. This alone should cause anyone seeking righteousness to reflect deeply.
