I opened the carburetor covered and cleaned. Same issue persist]

Get an experienced mechanic to service the carburettor. Its performance is sure to revert back to normal after thorough cleaning.

You will damage that carburator if care is not taken..

Once you are not an expert in something, leave it for those who are good at it..

If the sound of your Gen is normal while the lights fluctuates, it most likely mean your AVR is bad and need replacing. Look for a very good technician to help you change the AVR, don't let them tell you it is coil or caburator unless the Sound of your Gen has changed.

Hello Guys, Happy New Year! I just recently purchased a Lutian 3200 generator. I have recently noticed that the gen increases power at intervals while using the freezer. Is this normal?

please experts in the house should recommend the best engine oil for my elepaq 5kv generator. I only use it to pump water (borehole) once every week.

I invited an engineer who discovered that the avr is faulty..the voltage reading was moving from 200v till it gets to 300v and back and forth..he changed the avr that came with the thermocool hustler 3.75kva for 2500 firman product...and afterwards everything is restored back to normal. Thanks

Wow sorry I never knew you have have proffered a solution as I didn't check to see I actually invited an engineer and it was exactly what you said that was done...he was being honest and said it is not carburetor or anything except replacing the avr. Thanks

Honest engineers are very uncommon in this country. Hold that one tight till he begins to misbehave.

The main problem is how do you know you are getting an original gen since you are at their mercy. It's strongly advised to avoid buying generators online as much as possible. Many of the elepaq gen you see around now are not original

Please house, I am planning on getting any of these American generators -Champion or Predator-but my concern is are there mechanics and parts in Nigeria for such generators if there are issues.

Please I need insights on the above before making commitments .

Hello house, i got this gen sumec firman eco 3990es last year december and yesterday i noticed a strange sound from the gen, the sound you get from a gen when it's low on fuel though it doesn't switch off itself just that fluctuating sound i called the gen guy he said it's the carburetor that needs replacement i was surprised for a gen i recently got, i replaced the carburetor only for the issue to still repeat itself

Pls what do you guys think might be wrong and do you think it's something that might have to do with the engine?

All generators need a form of cooling via air or water or combination of both during operation. If a failure in its cooling setup occur - like failure of its radiator fan, water pump, blocked air vent etc. Then the genset temperature will definitely increase abnormally.

At this point, the presence of safety devices inbuilt to protect the genset from overheating come into operation to shut down the genset.

Gensets that catch fire most likely have their safety devices/sensors bypassed.

My Thermocool Optima gen battery seems like its failed. It can't start with switch but starts with the pull cord. I don't know if the battery is dead or its not charging while running. If its the latter, how do I make sure its charging?
