This is not an endorsement, all he has done is state the obvious and what is the obvious? The obvious is Tinubu did well when he was the governor, which to me is expected because the resources are there to work with and let's not forget that Lagos was working before Tinubu.
If anything Okocha threw a jibe there by saying "even though I don't know if you still need something"
The summary of all is Tinubu has done well but at this point in time he can't deliver Nigeria he should be resting and enjoying all he has acquired.

I don't know you before sir...your comment drawn me to a similar happen like this that made me to believe that all you said is true.
I know a very closed elder man, a retired DSS told me similar things about Asiwaju generosity and love towards people.

So he should be rewarded with the presidency because he was good to a few people. Is he the first person in the history of Nigeria and the only living nigerian to be generous and show love towards people? Do we now gather all those people and push them into aso rock?

The friendship Tinubu has make all over the country from north to south isn't fluke.

It is his heart of selflessness and kindness to all regardless of your origin and religion that has endeared him to many.

An Igbo friend/neighbour of mine who we do early morning workout together told me a brief story of his friend who's once Tinubu's DSS aide.

He said the friend told him that Tinubu will be more interested in your issue than yourself if you're having challenges.

He said sometimes it is Tinubu who will remind him whether he has call his mum, and right there he'll make him to call his mum, ask about her health and so on. If the mum is challenged, Tinubu will give him money to send home and follow up on it.

He concludes that if such man gives you any assignment to deliver you'll do all that you could to make him proud.

Tinubu has built loyalty in people by his friendliness and the act of giving.

So he should be rewarded with the presidency because he was good to a few people. Is he the first person in the history of Nigeria and the only living nigerian to be generous & show love towards people? Do we now gather all the generous people in Nigeria and push them into aso rock?

He is too old for this task, no one is calling him evil or bad person: I myself have deep respect for him, but Nigeria presidency shouldn't be benefits bonus for anyone, I won't allow my father at his age to contest as the president of Nigeria.. Buhari have good intentions too but when you are old and can't do the things you are met to do and depends on others to do it, it creates room for evil, embezzlement. He should have back another person, another problem Is that if you check is team they are all currently under buhari team.

The handwriting is very clear. The only set of enlightened people who support Tinubu are those who's lives he's helped in some way or the other. It's pretty much for selfish reasons, then. If you were pursued by the authorities, for example, and Tinubu uses his influence to get them off your back, what song will you be singing now? It's just an example and the man has touched countless lives. But that doesn't make him the right man for leading this country. Escobar was also generous, very generous, but he made his money off people's blood, intimidation, murder, drug addiction, criminality. Escobar then ran for office but they showed him he didn't belong there. We'll show Tinubu he doesn't belong in the office he seeks. Imagine if Escobar became President of Columbia.

Lol @ abandon a promising career at Mobil for public service. You forgot the part he got a call thereafter about some drug money. I'm sure you'll tell us one day he abandoned the money for public service too.
He fought all the anti-democratic principles of OBJ and ensured Nigeria did not become a one party state under PDP only to establish a one-party state in Lagos and replace democracy with oligarchy there.

Dey deceive yasef

Tinubu was already the Treasurer of Mobil Nigeria at 40 years. His career progression to the very top of Mobil group was a certainty if he had continued with the company. He abandoned this certainty for the uncertainty of politics simply because of his desire to serve.

The drug case was started when he was already a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It was never an issue before he joined politics. Even at that, he was cleared of all charges and there was never a criminal conviction.

Well, it is not the duty of Tinubu to rescue Lagos from one party rule. That’s the duty of the opposition movement in Lagos. They should look for their own Tinubu that can organize them into a formidable coalition that can defeat the ruling party in the state. Overall, stop hating.

Because of okocha selfishness, greed and self centeredness even on the pitch of football, that was why he could not win anything in football. Anyways, they are of the same characteristics. He has even ridiculed self the more. Imagine Jay Jay Okocha, is into betting business, making youths to be idle and not innovative. Now he has collected money from his clueless friend, who believe that Also rock is a retirement centre. May their evil plan against Nigeria youths never prosper. Nigeria must be great again.

It takes a special kind of bigotry to hate Tinubu. Like, why should anybody hate someone that is so brilliant, competent, nationalistic, and compassionate?

Tinubu abandoned a very promising and rewarding career at Mobil unlimited for public service. He fought the military until democracy was restored in Nigeria when others who are now contesting against him were simply doing business and befriending the military. He fought all the undemocratic policies of the Obasanjo administration to the point that Obasanjo seized the statutory allocation of Lagos state.

Tinubu personally ensured that democracy survived in Nigeria by keeping the opposition movement alive when PDP was doing everything possible to turn the country to a one party state. This is the same Tinubu they are hating on. The same man that has made all possible sacrifices for this country.

For sensible folks like me who understand the history of where we are coming from and the challenges ahead, we will do everything possible to ensure Bola Tinubu is elected President. He’s the best candidate in the race and he will perform better than all the others put together.

You do not get it , many people do not hate tinubu , a lot of people do not support him simply because he is evidently physically unfit for the rigours of the office and he is trying to foist two muslims on an entire nation with arguably 50% Christian population.

no matter what your reasons are for supporting tinubu ,there is evidence in some states in nigeria to suggest a Muslim muslim ticket especially with the character tinubu chose to pair with ,would simply spell DOOM for Christians, this is simply a fact .

Shall we now reward all our "national heroes" with the presidency ? Even if they are past their prime? Or unfit to deliver ?So after Tinubu whose next , another national hero who fought for democracy ?

What has been the fate of nigeria with Tinubu's APC ?

Tinubu is richer than you can ever imagine and the question is how did he get so rich? Can he not be considered to be sufficiently rewarded for his heroism "saving nigerias democracy "

Tinubu proudly claims responsibility for the glory of lagos state and he certainly played his part towards making Lagos remain un top but Lagos existed way way way before tinubu, I know because I was born in the 80's and Lagos has always been a place folks hustled to go to because Lagos has always been considered the land of opportunities.

Tinubu DID NOT MAKE LAGOS ,he certainly contributed but HE DID NOT MAKE LAGOS ,Nigeria made lagos , all the multinationals and indeed almost all the major manufacturing firms do their business in lagos , lagos ports hosts almost the import export activities in nigeria .

Lagos is too rich to fail ,and that's why everyone troops to lagos , do you not think a state like cross river with very great economic potential can benefit from stimulus like having a functional and a active port ?

Not everything is about hate , I would not be voting for tinubu , the reason is
Tinubu is old and frail , we all would grow old someday and we must accept the natural course of our lives , tinubu is evidently physically unfit for the rigours of office .
I do not think tinubu has what it takes to steer nigeria in its current state ,all tinubu has given is vague promises with zero substance , I do not think Nigeria deserves another Buhari esque style of leadership .

I am convinced the apc has nothing to offer nigerians moving forward and the party deserves to be rejected at the polls for the calamity they have orchestrated on the country.

Most importantly a muslim muslim pair at the Helm would be absolute doom for Christian's, pretend all you want about this but this is the same country a girl was murdered and burnt and not a single sould has been prosecuted .

If tinubu looses this election, it would be largely due to his choice in running mate .

The Tinubu you just described there is Tinubu of 10-15 years ago not the Tinubu of today. The Tinubu of today is frail, weak, sickly, demented, etc.

If you had a company that needs to be revived revenue-wise, would you employ the Tinubu of today?

Nigeria is currently sick economically; hence does not need a sick president.

If not for your sake, but for the sake of your children and your children's children, don't vote Tinubu!

Honestly, just go to Nairaland history trail of 2012 and see how bitterly Ndi Anambara were lamenting about how poorly Peter Obi was doing in a small State like Anambara and all of a sudden fast forward, 2023 the narratives have changed. History cannot be erased or modified.
Today you hear "we need to try a new party" We are tired of PDP and APC;
We are tired of the old politicans.....bunch of hypocrites wailing everywhere:
Imagine comeone who was in PDP for almost 10 years and just left about six months ago suddenly become a saint
Imagine someone already past 60 years being potrayed as a youth (what happens to the younger presidential candidates?)
Very incosistent points of argument...
