BlueDuck: Scamming is not accepted in Nigeria, and no sensible person should agree with you. You said Slave trade was once and was fought and rejected. I don't want to be associated with a scam and scammers are thieves and dregs , dirts and unless beings of the society 1 Like |

Jakumo: Yeah, nothing justifies scamming but Nigerians don't even do half what this so called whites do out there. They even scam themselves. The only reasons why it looks this way most of the time is, they don't believe an African or a black man would be able to scam them because the perceive to think they are smarter. I don't think Nigeria is even in the top 5 of countries with highest scammers. |

Olasyke: This is false You tried to sound enlightened but lost it completely in your quest to legitimise scam. All the countries you just mentioned except North Korea have dedicated their force towards catching the scsmmers and grab the rewards. You claim its just love schemes, but you probably don't know much, which I won't tolerate. Google and see how much Nigerian scamers are ruining loves off cards, pensions, etc, and they even scam their relatives as well. |

Jakumo:Well you think so because only Nigeria arrests her youths and make the arrests public for all to see. I’m not holding brief for these dirty-looking and senselessly loud youths who call themselves yahoo boys but do you know that Nigeria is not even among the top three countries with the highest rates of internet scams? I’m not talking about all these cheap romance scams; I’m talking about advanced phishing, Business email compromise fraud (BEC), hacking (how many Nigerian youth sabi hack?) and many other cyber crimes. Why is it that it’s only Nigeria govt that’s fond of arresting and making public their prosecutions of these erring youths? The US government have been warning their citizen against giving out their sensitive information such as SSN and tax details to strangers but some are still defiant. I rarely hear of scenarios where the respective governments of the Philippines, China, India, SA, Brazil or Pakistan arrest their citizen for cyber crimes against foreigners (even if they are doing so domestically, they will never make them public tarnishing and rubbishing their global images as a result like Nigeria is foolishly doing presently) The Nigerian government doesn’t realize that the more they carry on with this shameful act, the more the external communities keep seeing us as a country of scammers when in fact, we are no where near countries like the Philippines, Pakistan, India Brazil etc |

The westerners always painting African Countries to be worst than they r, the story painting the picture of Nigerian fruadsters , scam n old couple n taking away the money they hoped to retire with, so it makes their people angry with Nigerians. Fruad is a crime n wrong, honest living pays in d long run, but I don't like the journalist twisting the story , that way, they also have criminals in Australia don't they, what of MMM , it originated from Russia, didn't it. Alot of people lost money in MMM, but none is doing a documentary on it to find d person behind it. 1 Like 1 Share |

Stippy: A guy was lamenting on nulled, that he has 31 bitcoin (proceeds, of fraud), and he was asking for suggestions on the best way to withdraw or spend it without a trace from the cops. Had it been a Naija fraudster, they will begin to post their wallet balance, on Facebook. Nigeria is at the bottom echelon when it comes to internet fraud. What they do is crumb fraud. Western, Russian, and Asian fraudsters are the main deal. They are already using deepfakes, voice clones, and spoofers to impersonate banks and heads of parastatals. Most of them are even using naija and African scammers as mules. Hushpuppy is a perfect case study. |

Even for Lagos, Alaye dey bubble. Some states don start their own Alaye programmes sef. joyandfaith: Slaves weren't originally a trade or commercial activity everywhere in the world. Slavery and slaves in society evolved in all parts of the world naturally in ancient time but Europeans commercialized their's during their feudal era (slaves were bought and sold in Europe as commercial activity which faded into and as the origin of capitalism) and they made it even worse when they created the Atlantic slave trade- the beginning of Capitalism. There was nothing called Atlantic or any form of commercial slave activity in Africa before the arrival of Europeans. Cecero, a Roman statesman, once warned a colleague going to buy slaves in Western Europe to avoid British slaves because he said "British people are so dumb that they can't even make good slaves." If interested in the truth, read the book: Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan holocaust- Slavery and the Rise of European Capitalism- by John Henrik Clarke |

blingxx: LoL, I feel sorry for Africans who think it's because we're smarter that's why they are opening their borders for skill labour, people who think this way are heavily deluded, every single thing immigration plan is all in their strategy, if they have skill shortage is some areas especially things their own people won't do, e.g. fruit picking, taking care of old people, lack of teachers and nurses to go fight COVID or sick people , they open up their borders. And they take everything back from you through taxation, and high cost of living, the only thing you get is a working system, and huge mortgage to repay (they can close the mortgage to foreigners when they want), it's why you hardly see those guys legitimately working in UK, Canada and US easily send you money , e no easy, their cost of living is huge 1 Like 1 Share |

And we also like to show ourselves and shame ourselves for the whole world to see. Our scammers are illiterate scammers compared to others and that is whybthey get caught the most |

The irony of "...Ibrahim Lamorde, said to be one of the few honest policemen in Nigeria..." Fact is there's something about the way Nigerian systems are run whereby even if you were a Saint going in, it'd take the very grace of God not to be tainted. |

I have had to triage about 5 cyber breaches in the last 6months. Guess the IP location of the attackers trying to gain access to compromised accounts in all of these cases? Lagos, Nigeria. It's incredibly saddening you are doing a job as a Nigerian and having to make a report to blacklist your fellow country men from opportunities because a few bag eggs have soiled the well water for others. We wouldn't know the effects on businesses till everything moves to cloud in about 5years and Nigerians can not access shit, can not work from home for foreign coys because their country is blacklisted from the whole world. Make una continue dey hail them. 1 Like |
