They refunded fee for keeping the billboard up, not campaign fee.

Campaign fee goes to the Anambra government, while you are free to use any registered advertisement agency for your campaign advertisements.

Registered advertisement agencies pay to ANSAA certain amount to keep the billboard up.

If you fail to pay your campaign fee, ANSAA will tear down your advertisement, and refund the money that your advertisement agency paid them to keep the billboard up.

So wait o. The billboard was paid for but because he didn't pay for campaign, the bill board was brought down and money refunded...

Yes, it is bad.

It is an unfair tax to collect money from the advertisement agency and still collect from their client on the same advertisement.

The issue should have been to collect only from the advertisement agency, and leave the client alone since the client has already paid the advertisement agency.

But this is not about Obi.

That is how Soludo is running the thing.

Anambra needs money, but double taxation is not the way to go about it. That is my own opinion.

In one sentence, the MD said parties did not pay for their campaign fees, in another he said they don't deal with parties but agents and that the agent must have incurred some debt at that particular point.

Obi is being destroyed from his very home state. Countless campaigns have apparently been planned, and will be executed in the days and weeks leading up to the election, especially on mediums such as nairaland.

Unfortunately he goes about hugging these same demons. But if God is for him, these evil plans will like all previous ones, fail.

Nothing concerns Soludo here.

You pay campaign fees to the government, while you pay advertisement fees to whatever registered advertisement agency you want.

For example, LP should pay 10 million to the Anambra state government before hiring a registered advertisement agency.

The registered advertisement agency is expected to pay ANSAA to put up their billboard.

If LP fails to pay their campaign fee, ANSAA will tear down LP's billboard, and refund the advertisement agency.

The only issue I have with Soludo here is the arbitrary campaign fee.

Non one should really be paying campaign fees. That is my only problem with the whole matter.

Once a registered advertisement agency has paid ANSAA, their client should not still be mandated to pay campaign fee.

For example, if LP hires ABC Advertisement, and pays them 5 million for 5 months, the government should not still be harassing LP for campaign fee since ABC Advertisement has already paid ANSAA.

What's campaign fees?

Does state government now regulate National election processes?
