Nigeria has been suffering for as long as i can remember, not just 8 years. It was suffering that made people demand for change in 2015 if you are old enough to remember. The past/current government did very badly in economy. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala predicted it and was already having headache just to pay salaries. Couple that with Covid 19 and the current global inflation and Russia/Ukraine crises, it was much expected though poorly managed. It is not a time to vote for party or religion or tribe but for competence and track record. i want to believe that if you have an automobile or expensive machine, you hand the repairs and maintenance to a competent and well renowed company and person with track record, not to your prayer warrior religious brother or to your village mate. Nigeria is more important than any automobile or machine and cannot be handed over based on trivialities and hearsay.
Tinubu has engaged in a more rigorous campaign than any of the other candidates. For the past two months, he has followed his campaign timetable as diligently as possible, appearing in public, speaking and discussing openly without any major problem. Vote in wisdom, vote in 1st class, vote in originality and fearlessness. What will he profit a man if he can run around the stadium and cannot call black black, and then make foolish decisions like choosing Okupe who had a fraud case in court as firstly placeholder and then Director General. Then go ahead to pick someone from another party who was contesting for electoral position in another party. He was busy making foolishly uncalculated decisions renting stadiums for rally without any plan, until they later gave him sense. Government is not a one man show or test laboratory. The people who Obi has around him show that this man wants to take us backward if not split Nigeria for worse.
