I said it!
I was telling my colleague the other day that there's more to this case that it's best to calm down.

It's either the driver didn't stop and infuriated the policemen or the policemen were assassins cos it doesn't work that way anymore.

Now, the first one - the driver didn't stop
Second , the car had no plate number

From the look of things , the family is connected, so the Police has no right to stop them or they were afraid of being stopped by the Police for driving a car without a plate number or a case of accidental discharge.

For the so sensitive emotional beings that will say plenty- you are welcome
But let’s be frank, if this woman was your sister you will never type this kind message.....

I hope the ballistic test of the bullet(s) extracted from her has been done.

N,B; Vandi has denied killing her on record. Eyin mob cyberbullies and ipob terrorists filled with hate and ignorance of the law, let the court decide the fate of Vandi the alleged killer. Same police you hate and vilify so much is still the first you ill-mannered professional hypocrite will run to in time of trouble and when they save you, your life and family, you do not come on SM to praise the good officers among them. Ah fear God, what are you implying! So the family that where with her in the car are lying abi?

All of them, the police, the judge, the lawyer, anyone who wants to twist this story to favour them, may they not go unpunished, may the anger spirit of the dead woman destabilize their lives henceforth, they will not know peace anymore.....a pregnant woman for that matter, oh what a world and humans we have in our society
That woman must by now be regretting why she didn't just stop. She feels she's a lawyer and police officer is ordinary to her, learn to obey the rule of law. A lot of people do this, but when they sight soldiers they pee on their body. She would have because of her innocent baby in her belly and simply obey the law. The law should take its cause.

No peace for the wicked..you want us to believe the killer shot the woman because the car did not stop. Who gave you the order to shoot at site ?
Even if a car did not stop at your command. Are there no way of arresting the driver without killing the occupants ..? Is it a police norm to kill at will when nobody shot at you on duty ?
When you misuse your Official authority you are bound to kill yourself at the end . No matter your position .

So all Of a sudden the police couldn't notice the car was filled with family members. Come to think they were making a U-turn, not like they were speeding and you couldn't tell it's a car full with family members coming from church. If this happened to ur Wife, mother or sister you won't be on Nairaland here typing trash. You probably will be looking for a good lawyer and peoples sympathy to sue the police. Try get sense.

Even when you obey useless law, you or your family may find yourselves in mortuary, and it will be done by same useless authorities who don't even obey any law

Hmmm!!!

In a saner clime proper and thorough CSI would have been carried out before the trials.

Evidences will be properly obtained and assembled to prevent a charade, it’s a sensitive case and everyone wants a speedy trial and the state also cannot afford to loose its face hence this whole rush into the court.

If eventually Mr Vandi is found guilty the evidences should be based on hard facts and not prima facie or suggestive.
there was no way they could have carried out a CSI. The car zoomed off, it happened on major road alot of people who witnessed this would have been commuters so there are no witnesses except for the two colleagues and the family members. Hope they dont take hia side tho. Because in NPF we dont knpw the kind of threats they might be receiving. Vandi might even claim accidental discharge from faulty gun.

So because people call police when they are in distress, that now gives the police the right to be trigger happy when they sight an unarmed civilian?

Who doesn’t know that everything he said was in a bid to exonerate that murderer? Are you that dull? So if she's flagged and didn't stop, and the vehicle had no plate number, so the next thing was to kill her or kill them all in the car?

And you even believed the police wholeheartedly, you must be one of them.

Why would prosecutors go for 1 count murder for crying out loudhuh??

1. There were no discussions to kill the woman.
2. They had not known her previously
3. There was no intent
4. She was waved down and she didn’t stop.
5. This is manslaughter at most not murder ?
6. Stop sensationalizing the case and change the charge to what will stick !!!
7. It was an accidental discharge

it’s a police man who is saying that she was flagged and she refused to stop, until we hear from the victim husband, police are known to lie just to make a case against you, even if you flagged someone and refused to stop, the next thing is to shot the person?all of you will never end well. Go write it down, that policeman will either be sentenced to life in jail or to death.

Have you heard of lying under oath? The police man might be lying. Police that can arrest you and label you an armed robber immediately. Is that strange? Vandi flagged the car, shot from behind yet the bullet was from the chest.

Hello nairalanders!
The deceased is someone who was so close to me. whatever I'll point out here would not mean I'm trying to be on her side..Her mother's house is just on the same street as mine
If truly they refused to stop when they were flagged ,it doesn't mean anyone should be shot at.
We have the car tyres which could be punctured or even shot.
The vehicle could be chased, why shoot at people who could or could not be innocent.
In the case of they not being innocent,it's left for the court to decide their fate when caught and arrested ,not that the policeman should take laws in his own hands.
Did the people in the so called vehicle attack this said policeman and/his colleagues?
Is it established that the people in the vehicle were armed? Why couldn't the policemen find out all of these before taking that drastic decision.

Moreover, looking at it from my own angle, due to the deceased profession and her husband's
(both being lawyers) ,perhaps she or her husband might have handled a case or have a serious case at hand that requires her death, then the policeman happened to be someone who was assigned to kill her.(from my own opinion, I don't know how true)

And for the deceased and her family who were present in the car, none of us were there,so it's not in our place to decide whether there was or wasn't a plate number attached to the vehicle except proven ,as well, whether they did or didn't stop when they were flagged. But notwithstanding, whatever the situation may be,it doesn't call for releasing bullet(s) without being attacked first.
Let's take for instance, you don't go to a notorious killer's house with the aim of just killing him but with the aim of arresting him.if he tried to run then you aim at his legs,it's that simple. So as in this bolanle's case, because the vehicle didn't stop like the policemen claimed, they were to be chased and arrested.
Let our policemen learn from the whites.stop wasting lives!

Oga I know Nigerians are very arrogant, so you can also try disobeying the authorities, nah your body go tell you.

because they felt connected, they refused to stop, now the rest is history.

I don't know why wisdom is very scarce among many Nigerians.
There's no sense in this your post.
It is even someone who is connected that will stop to show them who he is.

You keep yapping on "body go tell you". Are you aware the penalty for murder is life imprisonment or death sentence? So body go tell the officer too because he's either going to die by hanging or die in jail.
So stop typing trash.
People misbehaving just because they have a gun can't be justified by threats and fear mongering.
Coward!!

Some of you are missing the point.

This police officers said that he doesn't know how she got shot. How did he say that? Simple.

The first officer flagged them down, they didn't stop. He flagged them down, they didn't stop. Remember there were 3 officers on duty that day. Then the last guy (Vandi) did his own.

This officer said he looked back when he heard a noise. That means he didn't even know what transpired between Vandi and the woman. He practically had no fücking idea. So why the fûck is he a witness?

As it stands, the testimony of the occupants of the car remains the only acceptable testimony because they witnessed every second of the incidence.

One thing that is clear from his testimony is that Vandi was the one who shot her because he is the last officer that interacted with the deceased and he was the one that the lady who jumped out of the car grabbed.

Everyone talking about the police witness testimony...he wasn't the only person that witnessed the murder. The deceased husband, sister and nieces where there too and will surely give theirs. Now when a car without a plate number is flagged down but refused to stop during the day not night ooo, the policemen have the option of either chase after the car and make them pull over or radio the next checking point to watch out, and not pulling the trigger. The funny policeman said he heard a gunshot and somebody is saying "could it be someone else that shot her". Someone else shot her right before the polimen and they allowed the husband to zoom off with the alleged murderer only to return later. Someone else shot her and no arrest was made? From the pictures dusplyed on the internet, the alleged murderer was already down psychologically inside the car. Imagine he never pulled the trigger...you think he will take it lightly? Abeg make we leave matter ooo. We are watching as the case proceeds. All we ask for is justice.
