Even within Nigeria, the complexion of Northerners tend to be different from that of Southerners. In places like the SE and SS there are a higher number of light-skinned people, than in North East or North West Nigeria.

Same way the colder a climate is, the higher the possibility of paler persons. But yes, skin is determined by weather too. Notice how people who leave Nigeria for UK or US tend to have clearer skin when they move.

Like when they asked, "What fruit do you want to be?" And she just said "Pineapple", when they inquired why, she said, "We don't have to say why" as if it took too much mental exercise to come up with a why. It took Blaqboi insisting she say why, for her to respond with, "sweet and sour"

If it's Jenni O or JayPee that answered that question, they would have added why even without being asked. I get that's her personality, but in social settings, it's not a winning personality.
