I’m always very suspicious of people like Governor Adeleke. But I’ll give him the benefit of doubt and pray that God grant him wisdom, humility and sincerity in execution of these projects. Nigeria need good governance and good citizens.

Governor Adeleke Launches Pro-Masses 100 Days Programme

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has launched a six pronged project to touch the lives of Osun masses in all the local governments areas of the state.
The programes are as follows:

1.Provision of portable water in 332 towns/Villages, one in each of the 332 wards in the State. The implementation has already started in Osogbo, Ifelodun and other local governments of the

2. Complete renovation of 30 schools, one per local government, including portable water and the provision of at least 50 computers with internet services in each renovated school.

3. Rehabilitation of 332 primary health care centers, one in each of the 332 wards in the State. Access to Health Care at the grassroot is the main objective.

4. Enrollment of 3000 Osun Citizens in the Health Insurance Scheme, free of Charge.

5. With an eye to address deplorable state of roads in the state, the government of Governor Adeleke has also initiated the rehabilitation of nine najor roads, one per federal constituency. This is targeted at reducing the high infrastructure deficit facing the state.

6. To address the yearning of Osun youth population, Governor Adeleke is also implementing an ongoing ICT/tech innovations programme which include the making of first State ICT Policy, first State Innovation Policy, domestication of Nigeria's Startup Act and Goggle Mapping of Osun state.

All the above programmes designed to touch the lives of the masses and the youth are ongoing for full delivery by the time the administration clocks 100 days in office.
Commenting on the progress of work across the six identified areas, Governor Adeleke hinted that the projects were selected on the basis of their direct positive impacts on the masses of the state.

According to the Governor, all local governments that have not submitted their selected location for each of the above projects, are hereby directed immediately to do so. This is to meet the deadlines set for the project implementation.

Gov Ademola Adeleke also urged community volunteers working on the Google Mapping Project to accelerate the updating of their areas on Google map to boost local business and connectivity in the state.

"Our administration is working to deliver on our electoral promises. We are targeting projects that touch the lives of the masses. I want the people to feel the impact of governance", Governor Adeleke stated.

It's good he has adopted a 100 days delivery time for these projects.
Nonetheless, I will like to state here clearly that these in my opinion is a way of sharing money to loyalists as PDP is generally known for because all of these are areas where the previous administrations have all prospered.
Let's examine the projects one by one.
1. Renovation of schools as we all know is usually a waste of resources because it has been observed that all they do is repainting and not critical installation of misplaced and delapidated building parts. It'll make sense if the renovations are conducted in line with giving critical attention to the schools recently constructed by Aregbesola which for me have been neglected especially with bushy environments and lack of utilization.
2. The most recent administration of Oyetola initiated an health insurance scheme. I think the governor will do well if his plans builds on the prospects already in place in the registration of the 3000.
3. The governor has done well to diversify the rehabilitation of roads to the federal consistencies. This shows equity and fairness. Therefore, we expect to see quality work which for me will show class. I can see the works have commenced especially with the construction of drainage channels around Sekona.
4. Just this Monday I'll like to say the Google mapping is a well thought initiative and it's a bold step in the right direction. I observed my phone accurately captured my church location close to Igbalaye Oke-fia, Osogbo earlier in the week. This also shows that the work has started and we expect them to conclude it intelligently.
In all, the government should try to monitor the handlers of these project if they wish to deliver it in 100 days because from the look of things, 12 years without power shows that majority of Osun PDP members are hungry and will do anything to recover as much as they can if their body language is anything to go by.

Open to criticism and comments.

###Google mapping, Aregbesola had done it,it was called holistic master plan another name is community action plan (CPA) the Ambassadors were training to know how to go to each community to know their history, landmarks, predominant occupation, belief practice, population, and there needs, with report writing and summited to government of osun for the holistic approach of every place in osun, the incumbent governor can ask for such documents.it can serve for 20years.
