atheistandproud:All the Odds established are all Effect of Globalisation and Everything is in Order for there is no any cause of alarm to me .... These are all as a result of Global Cultural Clashes and Cultural Wars going on .... In this dispensation Many People would die due to lack of preparation and Immaturity to respond to contemporary Challenges of the world because the tools to respond is not in the Gearbox(Mental Faculty) of Many People .. Imagine Chinese Cultures Affecting Nigeria which an Average Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo/Ijaw/Igbira is not Matured Enough to Bear due to Strangeness such people Could Die after fighting for long-term without Breakthrough and Many People find it Difficult to Metamorphose from their Heritage Cultures because all their Genetics is already Adhered and Adapted ! Nevertheless, The Next Generations of Humanbeing Would Come Prepared as you can see Many Children are Born Woke ..... Globalisation is the Peak of Human Civilisations then the dust would settle with Globalised Laws and Norms then Families would Be Settled and Societies is Settled... Incidence of BabyMama would be Abolished because the cost of Babymama would be higher than the cost of Marriage while Divorce would be stringent because the cost of Divorce would be higher than the cost of marriage.. Abandon your responsibilities and go to Jail as a Man or Woman ... You can't born more than your income bracket. Children would be on Allocation based on Income Bracket not Mere discretion... Polygamy would be Promoted based on Income Bracket same with Polyhandry all based on Income Bracket .... Eggs would be freezed until couples are ready for fertilisation... The World would be ruled by Sciences not mere Spiritualism Welcome to Heaven on Earth |

Why would an atheist be worried about the collapse of the family structure? What is wrong with the idea of a fallen family? atheistandproud: |

BornKiller:Do you people even understand what an atheist is? It's a lack of belief in a Supernatural deity e.g. Yahweh, Zeus, Ra, Allah, Amadioha etc. That's it. We do no subscribe to religion or religious beliefs. We are not anti society or anti family. Those ones are anarchists. I live in society and the rapid disintegration of society has made it highly unsafe for me to live in. |
| Re: The Collapse Of Family Is The Collapse Of Society by BornKiller: 1:35pm On Jan 26, 2023 |
Yes, but where does your moral code come from? A lot of what you call a broken family system is as a result of personal choices made on an individual basis. So a woman who chooses to have children, but who doesn't want to get married has made a moral choice to do so. Also, a father who packs up one day and abandons the mother of his children because he no longer wants the moral obligation of providing for them, has also made a personal choice to do so. From your perspective as an atheist, is there anything wrong with these choices? atheistandproud: |

If you're an atheist, then there's nothing wrong with being an armed robber. But I'm not an atheist because I have an objective moral standard which is God. By objective I mean a standard of morality that exists independently and outside of my influence. I don't get to determine what is right or wrong, only God can do that. atheistandproud: |

BornKiller:Citation needed at the bolded. The fact that you have this type of mindset is what makes religious people ripe tools to be used in the hands of unscrupulous religious leaders. Let's examine your moral standard, the Jewish Iron age war god, Yahweh. According to the creation myths in Genesis, he makes a mistake with humans and proceeds to commit Genocide. His number 1 solution to any problem is war, death and desolation. According to the Bible and the Talmud, Yahweh is the leading cause of human death. If that's your standard (a murderous bloodthirsty Iron age deity) then you need to overcome your programming and pick better standards in my opinion. I don't need a 4000 year old book to teach me to be nice to my neighbors without the fear of death or eternal damnation. |

BornKiller:Reading this just makes you understand the problem with Nigeria, a warped educational system leading to a significant reduction in the IQ of the vast majority of the populace. This is why we have so many religious houses yet, corruption, stealing, murder, yahoo yahoo is very prevalent in our society. You do not need the bible or quran to tell you that stealing is wrong, the God that you claim to serve has given you a brain, use it and stop behaving like a zombie. The most peaceful prosperous nations in this world are those that the majority of the population are athiests, but again, I don't expect you to understand, the average Nigerian does not have the capacity for critical thinking. We prefer to spend our time praying and fasting and waiting for miracles to happen while we steal and loot the government and scheme how to take advantage of our neighbour rather than brainstorming on how to make our country better. |

Your problem is that you are disease and yet you have somehow stupidly come to the conclusion that you are the cure. All I asked you was what was the origin of your moral standards? Are your moral standards objective or are they subjective? That's a very simple question which should require a very simple answer, but your single digit, pebble sized brain began to short circuit and malfunction. I NEVER asked you to believe the Bible because believe it or not, some people are actually cursed and the Bible will never add any value to their lives. You might actually be one of these people. I can't say you are because I'm not God and I don't call the shots on who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. The whole substance and theme of my line of questioning is based entirely on ethics and morality, not religion. So I'll repeat my question one more time: Are your moral standards objective or subjective? oldienavie: |

atheistandproud:There is a lot to say about linda ikeji, but Instagram celeb is not one of them. Up to 2015 her life was an open book and we watched her go from camry to murano to range. And all the time she always talked about how ladies should be patient. And that it is not easy. Your ignorant comments have rubbished whatever message you are trying to pass across. |

atheistandproud:Obama was raised in a single parent home. Trump was raised in a 'proper' home There is more nuance to this. Most of the 'traditional' values that you are celebrating have not empirically translated to a better Nigeria. |

BornKiller:Japan has a very low crime rate. They are a highly moral people with morality being defined as having a sense of rights and wrongs. Now, Japan is not a religious society but a very moral one, most people are law abiding. In contrast with Nigeria, a deeply religious society, churches everywhere but one of the most immoral society on earth. Now, how did Japan come about its moral code where most people strive to obey the law absent of religion. Has religion and God helped Nigeria to become a more moral society? |
| Re: The Collapse Of Family Is The Collapse Of Society by BornKiller: 5:52pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
Japan is a culturally homogenous country where 97% of the population belong to the same ethnic group, so the issues of mutual distrust and suspicion which exists in Nigeria are non existent in Japan. They also have their own religious and spiritual ethics and values. Shintoism and Buddhism are still widely practiced as religions in the country. Skyview01: |

atheistandproud:Your celebrated dual parent household has been the rule in Nigeria. It has not stopped youths from becoming yahoo boys and girls from becoming runs girls. It did not stop cultism. It did not stop area boys. Now repeat that to yourself. The real problem with Nigeria and Africa will always be simple minded thinking and the delusion that 'a moral, traditional' upbringing will somehow set the world or the country straight Doubly ironic when you consider that most of history's most horrible leaders also grew up in 'traditional' homes. Now think outside your narrow closeted box and stop looking for simplistic answers to complex questions. |

GloriousGbola:You seem to be all over the place in a quest to debunk, so I cannot clearly see the point that you're trying to make. I wrote about absentee parents but I guess that clearly went over your head. Yahoo boys (internet fraudsters), 419-ers (local fraudsters), kidnappers, armed robbers, violent cultists, drug-dealers, ritualists, organ harvesters etc. have become role models for children whose parents have all but abdicated their responsibility.Imagine equating corruption and greed to bad parenting. Seeing your username, why am I even surprised? You're the one who's trying to simplify a complex issue so that that you can do a debunk and go on a non-existent victory march feeling smug for yourself. Seeing as it is that I have no intention of entertaining your shenanigans, this is my last reply to you. Peace. |

atheistandproud:Did you go to university in Nigeria? I did. I have seen whole families (different siblings) in university. You see a family with one brother an su, the other a thug. One with a sister that is hajia another with a sister that becomes a runs girl. But of course for you it is simply single parenthood or absentee parenthood ![]() As to my moniker, it is expected that your sense of humour is as non existent as your dubious claims to intelligence. Every once in while it is best to put simpletons in thier place because the chaff between their ears is contagious. In a discussion a week ago with people with far more sense and real world experience than you, several products of Nigerian universities my self included acknowledged that with a few wrong associations or friendships we could also have fallen into campus cultism. Then again when one considers the fact that you called Linda ikeji an Instagram celebrity, it should be obvious what your are - a post-indomie generation attempt at 'moral influencer' |

atheistandproud:Thanks. Most of what you write is correct, especially on the deleterious effects of single parent homes. This is a serious problem here in the USA that I hope will improve over time as people come to grasps with the real long term effects of certain personal choices. In the meantime we're fortunate to have a fairly good social safety net that mitigates some of the problems. In Nigeria that safety net has been the extended family and my observation is that it's breaking down. This is a very touchy issue for most people and everyone has choices, the best that can be said is to each his own, every one will get the results they bargained for...most of the time. Have a good day. |

Marriage doesn’t benefit men. Women are just entitled leeches who are looking for who to love, provide care for, contribute financially to, perform eternal acts of service to etc. Don’t tell us we need to preserve this institution that doesn’t serve me. At all. Preserve the family ke? |

atheistandproud:Sorry for quoting everything but I have to. Never you answer that lady! She knows absolutely nothing about live just extremely woke garbage which she spew on a steady. What you wrote here is absolutely true. I am a leaving breathing experiment. Sometimes I thank God for not letting me meet my mother alive I would have made sure she regretted having outside wedlock. It is lonely and it is painful. I am living it! Every child must have the privilege of knowing his father, every child must have the opportunity of being born and grow in a standard home. Selfish, self-centered generation of today like that lady will disagree. That's wickedness! Take it from someone living the experience. |
