Free market capitalism is the best way to build prosperity for any population. Combine it with a responsibility driven democracy and homogeneous culture and the result is near paradise on earth. Finland, Sweden, USA, Switzerland. Compare North & South Korea, East and West Germany.

Karl Marx was wrong, and I'm being polite. His Marxist and socialist theories included requirements that the family unit must be abolished and children given to the government. Very nutty ideas and the results where they've been practiced are disastrous.

Free market capitalism is also the best way to widen the financial gap between the haves and have nots in the society.

Yes and so what? There's no equality in socialist or communist countries either. Equality is a moral myth, it can NEVER occur under any conditions anywhere.

The important question to ask is whether there's improvement in the material wealth and well being of most people in a capitalist nation. The indisputable answer is yes, capitalism brings about a more generalized enrichment of everyone than would happen under socialism. Again, compare South & North Korea or even Venezuela of today against 40 years ago.

Back in say 1950, how many people in the USA had air conditioned cars or even homes? Microwave ovens, washing machines, mobile phones, access to heart bypass surgery? What was the life expectancy today compared to back then? So what does it matter if Bill Gates & Jeff Bezos are far richer than everyone else if my life is much better than it was 30 years ago?

Capitalism in the USA has worked so well that the poor working Americans are richer than the middle class of most socialist countries including Nigeria. That's what counts. And yes, Nigeria is a socialist country.

Emphasis on inequality is driven by envy. Most important to this subject here, socialism destroys families, family destruction is a major objective of socialist ideology. I hope everyone knows and understands this simple truth.
