And when the engine off with the low rpm of 200 or so. I would have to revv high like 3 or 4 times before the rpm normalise at 600 on 700.
Also, sometimes after driving for a while, and I put the vehicle into P or N, the rpm will move to 2000, and stayed for some seconds or min before dropping to 600.
The throttle body and MAF Have been cleaned yet these problems persist.
For RX300 2001
No check engine light.

Check for vacuum leak or blocked vacuum hose.

You might need to take a clearer picture.
But I believe it's your ABS system that's acting up

Thanks a bunch, am not bothered about the light issue but the Low and high rpm gives concern cos sometime in traffic, the vehicle will be eager to fly, I have to hold the brake very well.

There’s a reason I asked you to replace that transmission. Your car came from factory with a U151F transmission AKA 13pin gearbox. It’s a very sensitive transmission and doesn’t tolerate abuse or any error. It’s not a forgiving transmission by any measure. It’s easier for me to ask you to repair that transmission and go about my own life, but you’d be the one spending money to fix something which the technicians won’t give you a guarantee or the valve body or solenoid part sellers won’t offer buy back guarantee. Your best bet here is to replace that transmission with a tokunbo unit and 1 week warranty and call it a day.

Did that before coming to nairaland.
P0986 appeared in the first scanning.
P0500, P0986 and P0798 appeared in the second scanning

The problem is from valve body or ECM, thank you

Please explain what you meant here by the engine oil change interval due to the the ECU reading how many tines the tire has rotated. Is this for cars where you can set their oil life?
And secondly, can one fully trust the oil life monitor in cars?

Lol this is going to calculate how many kilometers the vehicle has covered to determine when you are going to change your oil, it determined the next services, that's when maintenance required to shows up on your dashboard

I started experiencing sluggish acceleration at second and, sometimes, third. Beyond that the vehicle moves smoothly.
I scanned and got these codes: P0500, P0986 and P0798.
Please how do I tackle this problem especially with the last two codes that point to solenoid.
Will replacing the gear brain box solve the problem.
Also, where is the vehicle speed sensor A located. (P0500)

I have misfire on cyl 4 (p0304) as the only code. Now when I clear it and drive, it will not show up and acceleration will be steady for as long as but once I park and get out, only to start the car much later to move, car will start jerking and check engine will appear and start blinking for a few seconds and acceleration will be steady if I drive for say 5 mins. On anothercold start however the cycle continues.. I have changed all plugs and mechs have cleaned the injectors.

Check your coil, take note most of the time if the check engine was blinking it relayed to bad ignition coil

Buy an obd scanner or find a mechanic that has one and scan your car to retrieve the code that made the ECU asked you to check your engine

What happened to the engine that makes you want to rebuild it, also, where is the location of the vehicle?

After rebuilding it , make sure a good break-in procedure is carried out with the recommended engine oil viscosity , and you have to drive with a low speed for some time or kilometers to rebalance the rings to the cylinders .

My Honda accord 2003 V6 went off on motion and all efforts restarting it was proved abortive. It will roll but won't start. My rewire later diagnosed it and said it was brain box problem. He confirmed there was no light on d plugs and hv checked all d fuse. Pls I need an advice

You did not bother to scan the car. If no power supply to plugs, check the Crankshaft Position Sensor, timing and also ECU.
