Realist12: Well I needed to make sure where you stand on this salient issue! now bookmark this post for posterity! In the next 3 years one of two things will happen to your fair federation! (1) There will be a serious push back from the south east ,which will force a restructuring of your fair federation! This is the likely scenario or (2) There will be a serious push back and insurrection in the south east, that will lead to the complete dismemberment of the country! If you think that Ndigbo that I know, will stomach the status quo for another 4 years, then you've got to be kidding! I once in a while try to pry out the opinion of yorubas like this, to see if the contraption can be redeemed but there is no way we can work with people who are so fundamentally different from us...........the ZOO cannot be salvaged ! it will take a miracle to weld a nation from this utter confusion! you can have your Nigeria we want out already! tufiakwa!! |

ebufa:Now let me tell you, the political difficulties the east is facing today can be traced back to the precolonial era. Your elites knows this some use that knowledge to gaslight the central while others are rendered helpless as they know the Nigerian state is the best for the people but they can't convince their people. Either way both factions of the elites will continue doing everything to sabotage the efforts of the agitators only middle men without political positions will champion such cause and will lead no where but the loss of innocent lives . Now the issue i failed to mention is the lack of state , or lack of central leadership that other regions had precolonial era. Buhari has done his best fighting the insecurity but the people were apologetic to the agitators. |

omonnakoda: When you have no reasonable response when arguing (or in your case….trying to argue), you fall back to your default settings of blaming the ‘okoros’ for ‘killing other peoples leaders in ‘66….and blaming them for just about every other ill in your shithole of ‘one Nigeria’! Not minding the fact they haven’t produced head-of-state/president for more than half a century while you and your Fulani masters have produced Nigerias’ leaders for the most part since ‘independence’! And of course you never forget to pull out your deceitful trump card of ‘ewu n’ebe akwa’ just to try and whip up anti-Igbo sentiments amongst your Fulani masters whom you revere and look up to in your self-centred bid to maintain the status-quo that keeps control of Lagos and its treasury in your tribalistic and greedy paws! Can you refer us to links showing where Ndigbo voted to send soldiers to go and murder leaders of other regions/ethnicities!? Don’t forget a good number of the Igbo in said coup were from the area you now call ‘south-south’…..where your ilk claim there are no Igbos’! Dude, just like with Nigeria as a whole, even Lagos can be governed by Mickey Mouse and, at the very least, manage to stay afloat! It’s benefitted disproportionately from federal gov’t attention, investments, projects and the attendant influx of businesses and populations to the extent that it can afford to leverage on what’s already on ground to remain afloat! During the Gowon and subsequent eras, we witnessed in Lagos the building of a multitude of flyovers; bridges; national stadium; national theatre; apapa and tin-can ports (apapa had existed from the colonial era but benefited from upgrades); 1004 apartments; upgrade of the former race course; the new Murtala Mohammed airport terminal; FESTAC town; etc! All these projects, while being focused solely on Lagos to the detriment of other regions and their major cities (sweet fckall was being done in the region formerly known as East Central State….the 3Rs were just empty meaningless talk), had a catalysing effect which Lagos is still benefiting from today! If we’re to have a balance sheet showing what the evil Nigerian federation has stolen from Alaigbo (including millions of lives) vis-a-vis what Ndigbo have gotten out of this rotten federation of evil and injustice, the balance will overwhelmingly tip in favour of the Nigerian state! You talk of a mere £20 while conveniently forgetting all Nigeria stood by and allowed to be stolen from Ndigbo! You stood by and allowed the Ijaw and other ethnicities in the then Rivers state to steal Igbo properties in Port Harcourt in the name of ‘abandoned property’; you carved out the most high yielding hydrocarbon rich parts of Alaigbo and placed in Rivers state for the Ijaw to help you oversee; you commenced a program of de-Igbonisation of the aforementioned parts of Alaigbo you stole and placed in Rivers state; no matter what proof anyone could provide as the balance in their account before hostilities broke out, Awo ruled they were to be given £20; Ndigbo were left almost penniless while the Yoruba and their Fulani partners engaged in a feeding frenzy as they gorged themselves fat on nationalised coys, leaving Ndigbo to watch proceedings from the sidelines; the oil boom that was soon to follow after the war saw new projects and industries springing up in Lagos and the muslim core north (present north-west to be specific), while yet again Ndigbo were made to look on like lucozade….absolutely NO billion dollar projects and national assets were located in the then East Central State; the major gateway in and out of the region was left to rot as the federal gov’t gave attention and pumped resources into gateways in the west, and subsequently, the north (Abuja); the little hydrocarbon in the east that the federal gov’t didn’t touch (coal) they abandoned leading to the decline and shutting of the Onyeama mine on the outskirts of Coal City; etc! You want to brag with the assertion that the Gowon gov’t ‘fought the war without debt’!? No one knows how true it is since activities of the then MILITARY govt in Dodan Barracks were largely shrouded in secrecy during the war! Suffice it to say that the Nigerian gov’t of the time got a lot of assistance from Great Britain and some Arab countries in prosecuting the war! Biafra was not just fighting the Fulani oligarchs, their Yoruba helpers and greedy, daft turncoats in then Biafra….they were also fighting the UK gov’t, Egypt and other Arab countries wanting to help their Nigerian religious partners! Also, you think Bakassi was given up because Nigeria loves giving up large swathes of its oyel rich territories? Bakassi was another cost Nigeria paid for the war, and heaven knows how many other deals they did using the oil and gas in Biafra as a bargaining chip! Fact of the matter is WHAT THE FULANI AND THEIR YORUBA PARTNERS HAVE DONE TO NDIGBO AND ALAIGBO, YOU CANNOT ACCEPT EVEN 10% OF SUCH IF THE TABLES WERE TURNED AND NDIGBO WERE THE TRADUCERS! You do all this yet get furious and look for where you kept your gun the moment you hear the words Biafra, secession, IPOB or Kanu! |

omonnakoda: There will always be a conversation to be had if you insist on saying that Lagos is what it is today owing to the ‘ingenuity’ of your Jagaban! That assertion is false and an insult to many other Nigerians’ from many other ethnicities whose human and natural resources were just to develop and still sustains the city till today! |

Historic Lagos Randle Family Elders Lament Desecration and Destruction Of Ancestral Lands by Tinubu Stooge Governor Sanwoolu. Written by Bashorun J. K. Randle:- After ravaging the iconic Chief J K Randle Memorial Hall and the historic Dr. J K Randle Swimming Pool at Onikan, Lagos with bulldozers and caterpillars as well as large contingent of heavily armed policemen (the dreaded SARS) Lagos State Government has callously and wickedly invited President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to the crime scene under the pretext of launching a Yoruba Cultural Centre - an enterprise in which the Randle family has no equity. This is at a juncture of our nation's history when our official policy is to de-emphasize tribe and tongue!! This is most disturbing, unfortunate and bewildering. It beggars imagination that the the State Government would go to such lengths and brazen diversionary games to deflect attention from the glaring rot and nauseating decay in several Lagos communities and drug havens --- Mushin Olosha ; Lagos University Teaching Hospital Road ; Daleko ; Matori ; White House Bus Stop ; Amikanle ; Tunji Alaso etc The Randle family has been SWINDLED in broad daylight and robbed of its sacrosanct heritage at gunpoint. We are not fooled Bashorun JK Randle. |

There is a significant Yoruba speaking community in several Countries including Sierra Leone,a quick search will enlighten you,Many returned to Lagos; Cole,Williams,Savage,Randle,Coker,Crowther etc They are indelible in the history of Lagos ,essentially the oldest modern city in Nigeria If you do not know Randle then you have no say T |

‘John Randle’ was a Doctor from Sierra Leone that worked in Lagos as a Politician around 1920s Get your facts right Sir. Again I’d still say that we have exceptional Yorubas that could have been used instead of John Randle. I’d might seem irrelevant but in a few years, nobody would link a Yoruba center to John Randle. Some other tribes in this country would never do this, just so you know. omonnakoda: 1 Like |

omonnakoda: This was the idiotic post i initially responded to on this thread before you came out of nowhere to chook mouth: Cyberterror: The fool ascribed Lagos as 'belonging to Tinubu'! I was responding to him primarily because of that false statement, and you in no way distanced yourself from it before launching an unprovoked attack on me! So naturally, it was safe to assume your thinking is in line with that of the Tinubu minion i initially quoted. I don't need to engage in the thankless task of going through all your past bigoted and hateful posts to reach this conclusion! Lemme see if i got you right! Your response to my assertion that the Fulani have ganged up with some Yoruba to marginalise, cheat and undermine Igbo interests is for you to provide a link to a thread on nairaland where Yoruba elders met with GEJ to lodge a complaint about perceived 'marginalisation'!? I cited historical instances dating back to more than half a century detailing where Ndigbo as an ethnic group have been shown wickedness.....sometimes even resulting in death, and your response is to provide this link that's barely nine years old? I suppose you're going to say some of the disparaging posts, by monikers purporting to be Igbo owned, is 'proof' Ndigbo have equally shown 'wickedness, cheating and marginalisation' towards the Yoruba!? I suppose your reason for providing the link is to show Ndigbo 'ganged up with GEJ/Ijaw to cheat and marginalise the Yoruba'!? That's your defence abi!? Dude, are you for real!? In my previous response to you, i showed not only how the Fulani and Yoruba have disproportionately (and in some cases...criminally) gained from the anti-Igbo, proFulani/Yoruba lopsided Nigerian political-economy enthroned since the late 60s, and which still persists till today. I equally showed how they undermined Igbo economic, cultural and territorial interests in the years during and immediately after the uncivil war. Now conversely, can you show me how the 'triumphalism' over the Yoruba you accuse Ndigbo of exhibiting during the GEJ years was defined by economic and political gains and also how Ndigbo ensured the Yoruba and Yorubaland were deprived economically and politically by this your perceived 'Igbo/Ijaw anti-Yoruba agenda'? Because some level of deprivation against the Yoruba by this Igbo/Ijaw alliance...translating into some level of 'gain' by the Igbo has to be shown before you can say Ndigbo were 'triumphant'! This present Buhari gov't is the worst thing to happen to Ndigbo since the uncivil war, and the person who claims to be responsible for Buharis' emergence is Tinubu! Ndigbo (supposedly a third leg of the tripod on which Nigeria stands) are nowhere to be found in the top seven or eight positions in government. But for Sarakis' deft manoeuvres in the first term, Ekweremadu wouldn't even have smelt that deputy senate president position. Obviously, the Igbo being represented in the lowly position of DSP angered the Buhari/Tinubu bigoted hegemonic alliance because they swore in their second term that no 'nyamiri' will ever smell any top eight position in government...and they made good on their threat! Even in the top hierachy of the military and security bodies like DSS, no Igbo is to be found....and this has been the case since 2015! The economic mariginalisation of Ndigbo by the Buhari/Tinubu alliance deserves another thread all on its own! You want to talk about triumphalism? Tinubu can't pretend not to know how bigoted and anti-Igbo the Buhari gov't is, yet he has said nothing from 2015 to date! Now, as he campaigns and seeks for votes, he wants to make Ndigbo believe he's a just and caring individual who has the best interests of Ndigbo at heart! Dude, gimme a break! |

Even though Ndigbo supported GEJ both times he ran for office, i personally never asserted there was any 'alliance' between Ndigbo and Ijaw. Notice i used apostrophe at the beginning and end of the assertion, meaning i don't believe there was any such alliance to begin with. I was just building up to make a point! |
