Stop crying! If the candidate they are supporting with this policy according to you wins, that means the policy stands. You were supporting the policy until your Tinubu started ranting. This clearly shows you don't even have a mind of your own. grin
To think a man that ordered bullion vans to bring money to his house, can't control a bank manager to change his old note to new one is a joke on you.I thought you guys are smarter than this but I just noticed that some of you can't even reason on your own

Now kidnappers and corrupt politicians are now distributing thier ill gotten wealth among bankers and some hired people to go and pay into the banks because most of them can't pay in the loots in thier names. That's the reliable information circulating.
When did the Nigerian politicians started speaking for the poor masses if not in a way for them to pay in the ill gotten loots. Many of the guys carrying those money on queues at various banks around the country are not the real owners. Just take a look at them. They are paying in for criminals. Just take a look at them.
At least 10 days extention will not enter election periods.
Let people vote thier conscience and a better Nigeria.

You see that? Nigerians are very corrupt, very very! Time for the EFCC and the Banks to start arresting such people and asking them where they got such huge money to nip this in the bud.

What made you feel the same politicians with strong connect in the banking industry & government haven't already loaded their warehouses with the new notes as usual. The policy will only affect regular individuals.
If they have loaded thier house with new notes according to you, they won't be all over the place complaining. Don't you think so?

They will have to be really really creative with their sanctions to force these saboteur banks to bring the new notes they are hoarding out.
I do not think you understand the question I am asking you

I will ask you again

Why is the CBN not sanctioning the banks hoarding the money giving to them by the CBN?

Banks are the major setback we have, they receive the new notes and hand it over to the corrupt politicians in exchange for their bulk money. This gives bank manager good profit as they usually charge from 10 to 20 percent for such huge deal

Abi. They are the saboteurs we and the CBN should be facing for their greed.
Re: CBN Extends Deadline For Old Naira Notes To February 10 by real777(m): 1:49pm On Jan 29, 2023
Nigerians are just unnecessary being wicked. Surprisingly today, people are dishing out the new notes they kept in their houses since. A pastor complain to me this afternoon that a POS guy is asking him to part with #1000 for every new #10,000 currency withdraw. I told him not to try it. If nigerians were truly intelligent, you are not supposed to withdraw old notes from the ATM. Leave the banks to eat their old notes till the deadline date.

How come the so called "loving house of assembly" is not talking about the fuel price killing nigerians right now. Nigerians are a people that love to suffer.

Why do people in Lagos still complain about new Naira notes, is it the one that is plenty in my house, that i don't even know what to do with it. In Umuahia here, i withdrew enough new Naira notes. I don't even have one single old naira note anymore. When i said Abia State is better than Lagos State, people still doubt me. If you are looking for New Naira Notes, come over to Umuahia and withdraw any amount you want💯

I’m glad common sense finally prevailed. In addition, CBN should immediately ban banks from issuing the old notes. Only the new notes should be issued from all ATM machines and across the counter from Monday. Any bank still issuing the old notes should be heavily sanctioned.

Abi. Very very heavy sanctions like 100 million naira per infraction not the slap on the wrist they are giving out currently. No over the counter for now sha due to our greedy politicians and the policy saying you can withdraw excess of the withdrawal limits only over the counter. Also, the withdrawal limits should go into force immediately by BVN tracking not account tracking due to mischievous Nigerians along with loading only 200 naira notes into the ATMs. With this, the new notes will circulate.

I didn't even mention anyone. Na you mention Tinubu out of many politicians in the country. Maybe you mentioned him cos he's the only one complaining openly.

FYI, the CBN didn't release much into circulation. They know what they're doing. I have people close to me as unit heads of banks so I know this fact. You can only pack what's available. There's no sufficient new naira note from the beginning, talkless of being packed by any politician. Even at that, there's a limit to what you couid get as an individual and a corporate body with the little released by the CBN
Atiku also ask for an extension yesterday

So is insufficient cash in Nigeria going to affect Nigerians or Politicians?

It makes no sense phasing out the old cash I less than 3 month

If the new notes do not circulate within 10 days and the banks are still paying over the counter within this same 10 days, then there will still be an extension

Still doesn't say the banks won't do the same as before. They are sabotaging the CBN's efforts.
A policy not made out of pure, genuine intention - one not made for the masses - will be sabotaged of course. Buhari doesn't want to hand over to a non-Fulani because he knows his people can't escape justice for their acts of terrorism against the Nigerian people. Emefiele on the other hand is vindictive after his loss at the primaries.

You have started ranting again, if the new notes is not circulated enough by February 10 FG will extend it again. The policy is not affecting politicians because they and banks executives work together, even the new notes is already with politicians. oh sorry I forgot you are zombidient, their brand of politics is illusion and day dreaming

The cbn should make it illegal for banks to be dispensing old naira notes. Cause it makes no sense that u will go to a bank and they will give u old notes

Abi o. Heavy sanctions like 100 million naira per infraction will force these saboteur banks to behave.

Why do they extend the deadline? I thought they ran to Senegal the other time for more damages to be done to the Psyche of Nigerians so that Nigerians can be under hardship weeks to election and be able to decide who to vote for.

Why do they extend the deadline? They shouldn't have done that after the threat . They should have allowed APC which they are destroying to be completely destroyed by MASS ACTION and protest.

The underlisted nairaland users:

jaxxy, edungene7 , stanluiz, tradepunter, Heathrow44, nemere2020 engaged me some days ago on fallout from Tinubu statement at Abeokuta. They said they will not extend the deadline.

I told them if they extend it they are very shameless and cowards. Tinubu is a great man and and a great thinker. Great men have purposes, others only have wishes.

These fellas would have seen how they grossly underestimated the capacity of already overstressed Nigerians to fight back their silly policies.

You throw millions into poverty by your clear lack of capacity and vision and still think you can rob same downtrodden of the earnings/cash savings.

10 days is good enough time for redemption. The CBN just has to make the new notes available (the least being like 50% of mopped up monies) and talk about cashless policy from there.
