Limit of your reasonings! Banks are controlled by state governments not Federal governments! Elumelu is an errand boy to the richest caste in the country! It is the poor folks that go and queue while others are engaged in trade and barter! You forgets that appointments in CBN is political! So who nominates who! Emefiele has massive investments in the country everything could be seized after his tenure just like Alison maduekwe , which means he will behave if not already sef 1k is no longer available that is why 100 naira is what can be paid out! Guess what! Who is with the 1k notes! Many naira landers are extremely dull! Forum for jobless people in the country without reasoning

This is an example of my complaints about our education. Our people thrive very well in International organizations because there are laid out SOP within which they operate. They may be the boss but there are bosses above them that ensure QA and compliance. But bring them to Nigeria and give them the liberty to implement anything, incompetence stares you in the face. Will Emefiele be this recalcitrant if he is working for an International organization? No! Everything would have been put in place with even mock trials to ascertain the smooth operations. But in our trial and error country, it is an overnight attempt at going full speed on badly fashioned policies. We still claim to be the most "educated" blacks in the world. Is there anything in Nigeria to justify that? What is education?

Ask yourself this question. Why didn't Goodluck Jonathan and PDP choked Nigeria and Nigerians like this in 2015? Even when they know their 16 years rule in power is on the verge of coming to an end? They left quietly and peacefully. There was no struggle, no violence, no judiciary or tribunal gibbish. No using CBN and PMS to suffocate the masses. If this coming presidential election didn't spark another civil war then Nigeria is not destined to disintegrate or suffer another major lost in the history of civil war. We are on the verge of it.

Well, it's good but it will only make our country like that of Somalia, imagine going to market to buy groceries that worth 200k from market sellers and you're going to market with cash of 200k in 50naira denominations, wouldn't that be too much to carry...

He's trying to enforce cashless but it just can't work in country like Nigeria, our network isn't stable for cashless policy...

any serious seller that wants business will not reject transfer when he knows cash is scarce. i assure you, they will all get POS machines to enable card payment . our phones these days come with NFC support, but we don't use it. so if you want to buy a car worth ,10m, will you carry cash or transfer?

Omoapena:

It should be rarely seen so that when you want to go and buy something worth 500k and seller requires cash, you will need ghana must go bag to carry the money and push it around inside market with wheelbarrow like they do in Somalia....

Lol
The only way those small denominations can be convenient to move freely is when things drastically drop....

Please stfu, the CBN governor told the House of Representatives members today that the old notes will not lose its value after Feb 10. Whenever you pay in it would be accepted, so what’s the point of this whole experiment?

CBN has already led the Masses down and unfortunately, 'the trust' in the Banking is gone through the governor!
A visit to different banks today was chaotic and the people are warped,so why this suffering because of inability to exchange their Money?
Somethings can only happen in Nigeria, like CBN governor being a once Presidential Candidate!
So we all know where the pendulum is pointing to!

Well, you said the truth about the Gej tenure but i still don’t get your point.

For me,revolutions throughout history have always had their pros and cons.

If the present government wants to stop vote buying for the sake of good future governance even at the expense of it’s party’s reputation,so be it.
There always has to be unrest during a great change.
