90% of the people in your set entered based on connection. I can bet that you too entered with connection.
Sadly, we can't drop name here, so that I can show you receipt of the connections used

Lol! Entered with connection? Me? Or 90% of those of us that got hired? Hilarious. My guys still there and reading this will be laughing their heads off. I did not know where Bonny was or how to get to Bonny until I boarded the NLNG plane to the Finima airstrip when we were to resume. I know how many times we linked up with each other speculating on whether we would even resume or what the possible total package would be. Of those of us that were active on NL, none had any idea how to get to Bonny. If I had one inch of "connection" I would not have been as vociferous as I was on the 2013 thread. I literally was a talkative there looking for information.

Oga, u sound like a disgruntled Bonny indigene. I met some very cerebral indigenes amongst the GTs one of whom resigned within months of resuming. No Bonny indigene reading this should take this personal, but I found that a lot of the indigenes living in Bonny and had never travelled out of Bonny had an entitlement mentality. They felt that NLNG belonged to them and should hire them and them only. Sad thing was that many felt they should be direct hires and we're very disgruntled at being contractors. Based on this your sill assertion that I used connection to enter, I know you are just here to cause commotion. And I will no longer respond to any of your comments here or anywhere else on NL

True

And that is why you have to ignore the distractions and do what you set your mind on doing from the very beginning

Like talking about the AC as you promised

Lol! I really wanted to share my insights and experience from the AC. But omo, the level of cheating in the SHL aptitude test was so much it's off putting.
Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 10:02pm On Feb 03, 2023
but is there a risk of cheating in the AC? like how do they want to pull it off? I feel that was possible because it was proctored - for the AC won't everyone have to be there physically?

Not all at the same time. And like the Aptitude test, it will spread over a few weeks. People will not be able to take pictures of the questions because on the AC, you drop your phone and any wristwatch you have. Given the way this set have cheated, I'm sure them may even scan them for body cameras lol.

The AC was a full day exercise. Like it will most likely take you until three or 4pm before you are dine. Many of us arrived between 7 and 8am. By the time we were done I was drained, tired and somewhat sad because I didn't think I had done well

What many people don't understand is that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with one of the best employers in Nigeria. The chances of success are about 0.1%. So people who wrote first and were releasing questions for those who wrote later were just plain dumb. They were shooting themselves in the foot in an attempt to be "good guys"

When God gets angry and stops the rain from falling because of bad guys, it affects the good guys even more

Try to look past all this so called "street smart" guys

These guys will still find a way to cheat even if you dont drop anything here

Lol! I try to "leave" but I get sucked back in. Hope the materials help you. I planned to share my experience with each of the tasks, particularly the Group Exercise and the Presentation. I'm still not yet decided whether I will do that or not.

Haha...I've seen a lot of your positive critiques on the NL programming "streetz".

One point I will leave is this, whoever gets called for AC should not be timid. I remember when I had my AC, we were served breakfast and lunch. A lot of us (on the day I did my AC at least) were so scared that what we eat or how we eat was part of the assessment. So some steered clear of eating, others just took a little. If I had a chance to do it again given what I know, I would have descended on that breakfast cos I didn't eat before going (don't fall into this trap. Have a good breakfast before setting out. Not fufu o, but something filling).

I remember a lady at that AC who had flown from Jand a day or two before the date. That girl ate the breakfast well well when most of us were just having tea, coffee or juice. Girl still got hired even though I was thinking "no way this girl will be hired"

Almost everyone on this thread will be happy if you stay and share your experiences.

For me personally, I am not just looking forward to reading about your experiences and learning from them, but to even meet you in person

You should please stay.

Not sure we'd meet in person o! Cos my current work schedule has somewhat negatively affected my social life as I work "graveyard" shifts. But I'd try my best to share my experience if I get around to deciding on that. The average age of most of the prospective GTs that will be hired will most likely be younger than when we got hired. This is because the recruitment process for us spanned 4 years (from NLNG advert to resuming at Bonny). That was an extreme outlier as a combination of real world occurrences heavily impacted the process. This time around, the real-world occurrences are auspicious. There is an all-time high demand for LNG across the world. My only disappointment is that Nigeria has failed to grow her LNG production capacity to capitalize. Brass LNG has not taken off. And even NLNG is most likely not producing at capacity because of interruptions in the supply chain of raw gas.

Eat very well when food is served grin grin

Hahahahahahahahaha....I didn't say "eat very well" o. I'm it saying, don't starve yourself. I remember eating Lunch and taking very tiny servings even though hunger was dancing amapiano in my stomach. But yes, have a fairly decent breakfast. You'd most likely be doing the AC at a very high brow hotel (they rented two floors at Eko Hotel for two weeks straight for the Lagos AC. For PH folks, it was Hotel Presidential. Can't remember the Abuja venue). many of us had our best suits on grin

Also, expect the AC to be a "whole day". I don't think we finished before 4pm and everyone (or me at least) left the venue drained.

So I just came across this which I think would have been relevant for the proctoring. Many people may not have been aware that their Webcam was taking periodic pictures of them as they sat for the exam.
