omonnakoda:But this is not a question of law nor fact, and thus the supreme court order is not worth the paper it is written on. The Supreme court simply does not have the power to extend the deadline unless the validity of said deadline is being questioned as a mater of law or fact. The FG has acted well within their constitutional right. Three state governors are trying to tell the FG how to rule the country, but they dont, ipso facto and ispo jure, have a locus standi in the matter. Entertaining the suit in of itself is a failure by the Supreme Court 1 Like |

biina:The Supreme court has spoken and in our system that is the end of the matter. The Supreme Court decides which matter if will hear or not This order is an interim one because of urgency. interlocutory injunction Go and read what that means If you had bothered to read you would have seen that there is a substantive case to be heard still, which cannot be concluded in 2 days You are now constituting yourself into a nuisance Your online opinion is honestly like the noise of a generator that does not generate electricity 3 Likes |

In matters of national security, the President can chose to ignore courts order, just like Buhari has done in the case of Nnamdi Kanu, Dasuki. Let's see if the FG would obey this. |

biina:You are talking trash! The supreme court has ruled. The FG and CBN must obey first. And by the way, the governors are right to go to the supreme court, jus look at how people are suffering. I withdrew 5k from pos yesterday, they gave me old notes and charged me 500 naira. The pos girl said they have not had the new currency in a long while. That same yesterday I was at the Shandam yam market to buy yams, you won't believe that almost all the yam sellers do not have account and deal on raw cash and since there was no cash in circulation, the market was looking dull with sellers causing this government. All the pos at the market had no cash. This is a very useless policy and the supreme court did well on this. 2 Likes |

edlion57:The Governors are your problem is this situation? It's now plain even to thr blind that most of you noise makers about bad govt don't really care, all you care about is who is making policy and who do you think the policy favors. Who in their right mind will even blames these Governors when the whole country is about to explode simply because of a moronic policy. But because in your own shallow zero iq empty skull you think this favours Tinubu hence it must be bad regardless of what the people are facing on the streets of Nigeria. baralatie:The supreme court can ask but cannot enforce anyone's arrest. All federal law enforcement, security agencies, and armed forces are under the executive branch. Anyone that goes rogue is simply risking their career for nothing, cos many seem to have forgotten that PMB na retired General The CBN will likely just ignore the Supreme court order and there is nothing they can do about it. The banks can also simply refuse to accept all cash deposits till further notice. Anyone still accepting old notes after the deadline does so at their own peril |

MyMouth: He won't dare it. Buhari is a very dangerous person. I remember how he presided over the meeting that sacked oshiomhole as national chairman. He was the person that single handedly picked him for the job and he was his strongest supporter. But immediately the other faction got a court order against him, it was baba that sat on the nec meeting that fired him. Alot of people are just praying for Emiefele to disobey. I can bet you they already planned everything ahead of him. They'll quietly file for contempt at the supreme court. They won't even wait for the justices to complete the pronouncement before they whisk him out of public view. Lol...🤣🤣 Before he come out another person don take over. 3 Likes |

[quote author=lexy2014 post=120731087] 1. Is it the job of CBN to stop vote buyers? No. It's the job of DSS, Police, EFCC, NSCDC, etc. 2. How has the cashless policy been advanced so far? Poorly - due to (1) inadequate infrastructure and manpower, (2) low literacy rate, (3) low level of awareness and cultural factors 1 Like |
