Make I no lie, I enjoyed his healthcare, I was living with my sister than at Nise. I enjoyed the free Anambra rice he gives out free of charge to pensioners and state workers. Na one old baba then who is a pensioner then that use to give me some of the rice and I also enjoyed the road network. It was the best and it connected all parts of Anambra state. That's why during his tenure when oppositions are saying bad things against him, I do wonder and you will never catch me dead saying anything against Obi coz I cannot be an ingrate. Everywhere was also safe.
Till date, I still wonder how he was able to achieve that coz Anambra was bedevilled with dare devil godfathers that can kidnap a sitting gov (ask ngige ) and insecurity was the order of the day before obI. Infact one of the major reason why am voting him is security and I know he will deliver. God bless Obi. He did all these and still saved up for rainy days. Now tell me why I shouldn't vote obi

Lagos can be compared to USA or uk because people pay high tax in those countries and yet people keep running to them everyday because there’s higher chance of success there compare to their respective countries.

The same thing can be said of Lagos Nigeria where people run to everyday despite the “high” tax because there’s high chances of success in Lagos compare to other states in Nigeria .

When I was in the corporate world before going solo ,we only paid 1percent of our salary to lirs and any reasonable person should be happy to pay that to a a government that provides the environment for employment opportunities.

In the issue of Alaba market (or any other markets) there are non state actors that are involved in collection of illegal fees as the case is/was in alaba where the Agbero said the previous chairman sold a right of 16 million to them and they have the right to do their business . The marketers rose against them because their collection was overpriced and “illegal” .

If a state government collects illegal tax ,the people have the right to sue the government. But 1percent of employees salary or traders incomes is not illegal or overpriced.

Not even when God collect 10% as tithe for providing for people’s need .

And also I’m reading online that only 2percent of lagosians pay tax !

Also the tax generated in Lagos/Nigeria is not up to the tax generated in these countries and therefore there will be differences in standard of living but what I’m sure of is that in this Nigeria we are ,Lagos has the highest human development index and that’s why people are running to the place everyday to have a chance of economic breakthrough . I can even say that there’s no family in the east without family in Lagos or not happy that their child is in Lagos (wether selling gala and fan yogo in the traffic is argument for another day) .

Historically ,Lagos was a commercial center that it was the base of European traders and missionaries before expanding to hinterlands ,Lagos as capital was only on part of islands but areas like Surulere,Epe,Ikeja,Ikorodu ,Agege ,Mushin ,Bariga and many more areas were under the control of western regional government. If you say proximity to fct affects their development then I will ask you is nasarawa developed ? Or is Haiti and Mexico developed despite proximity to USA ?

Also tell me ,why is that big companies and their headquarters are not relocating to Abuja after the capital is shifted to the place ?

Need I forget that most tall buildings on island were not built by fct but by colonists ,the only thing Lagos enjoyed was a few bridges and visitors (hotels and bars) that should have diverted to Abuja since it’s now the new capital.

If you have evidence to counter the government tax statistics ,why don’t you sue them to court ,I believe you know that every user here is responsible for what he or she posts and can be held responsible for it .

Was those infrastructure moved when lagos seized to be the capital?? Even the modern lagos is military administration's layout plan...the blue rail project comes to mind.

I’m not going to deny the impact of “military government “ in Lagos ,especially Lateef Jakande ,I think Olagunsoye Oyinlola is the worst.

Jakande made blueprint for the blue rail project ,lekki way and few estates .

It’s Tinubu opposition that popularized the slogan “Tinubu built Lagos” to make jest of his achievements. The perfect and most acceptable slogan is “Tinubu modernized Lagos “ .

If only sensible people are allowed to vote in Nigeria, Nigeria would have been a better place. For a start...only people with authentic WAEC results should be allowed to register to vote.
