This is a suggestion.
Since she has been a beneficiary of scholarship, I am of the opinion she also try the Australian Research Training Program scholarship or the university scholarship. This will help and give a soft landing for her entry into any Australian university.
Thanks

Hello guys,
My wife want to study Masters of Public Health in Deakin University, as she did Medicine and Surgery at degree level with Federal Government scholarship in Morocco. She just graduated last year November.

Do you think she can apply now for the masters?
She has around $8,000 in her bank account in Morocco, and myself I have around 6 million naira in account.
Who do you think we should use as her sponsor?
The total cost is $27,800Aud per year.
And do you think she stands a good chance to get the admission?
And can we start now and still be able to make the July intake for the school?
We intend to apply as a couple, no child yet.
Your reply will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Please has anyone used IDP, I just got to know about them and their services are free, they apply for admission and assist in visa processing.
Any downside to using their service?

I checked, its for Research student, not masters taught. And she doesn't want to do research for now, so back to our earlier arrangement of masters taught.
Though, she will try and apply for some scholarships too, I need answers too please.
Someone should help me out oooo.

It's advisable to have it handy. Although you can start your application and submit your IELTS later if required by school before issuing CoE

If the school has requested for it then it's mandatory. Check the requirements

She stands a good chance, and I know few people that came through the same path.
Unfortunately Public Health is not on the Skilled Occupation List which means that the course won't be eligible for PR after graduation unless She will assess as a Health Promotion Officer which requires minimum of one year working experience.

Is your proposed course of study related to your current work? If yes, then I'd say it's a good thing on your part as you'd be able to have a strong SoP with it

Hello Guys
That's an awesome work you guys are doing here. This thread is very helpful.

Please I want to travel to Australia through the study route. All my documents are ready but I'm having challenges with the proof of fund. My agent said that I can't sponsor myself and anyone sponsoring me should have atleast 18M Naira in the account. I wanted my immediate brother to sponsor me cause I've been refused Canadian study permit twice. I don't know but I think the reason for the refusal was because I couldn't prove that I'm related to my Uncle who sponsored me cause he is a far uncle and we don't share the same Sur name.
Now, we have made arrangements to deposit some money in my brothers account but the agency running the proof of fund insist that we must open a fresh account.
My concern is that I'm pursuing Pre-MBA at Flinders and it's August intake. The account will be ready by 2nd week of May. Can I still meet up with the GTE and Visa processing ?
Please I need your advice guys

Welcome to Melbourne.

I’ll recommend you contact your uni for a short stay, I stayed in uni accommodation for 8days before I moved out. This allows you to inspect a few houses before you rent them.

Most ppl share accommodation initially as it’s cheaper www.flatmates.com.au

Or realestate.com.au

Or facebook marketplace.

Etc

Good luck.

There is a huge Nigerian community here, you’ll love it.

Pls my people, the gurus in the house...I have few questions bothering me.

1..my first degree is four year(Bsc.Ed), do Australia universities accept 4yrs degree for a masters program? A graduate of UNN 2:1
2...I have been following this thread for sometime now, I haven't seen anyone applying for Ms Teaching/Education...both secondary and early child education even though they are both in the SOL list...is it a bad career for Nigerian students over there?
What is it like to get admission for the above courses and job opportunities during and after studies?

3...For GTE, someone who is an only child of a single parent( though married), can one use it as a point when writing GTE, stating that he or she needs to comeback immediately after studies to take care of the "parent" ?

4...my husband is a business man, registered with CAC but do not have employees....he wants me to be the main applicant with him as my sponsor and dependent, if he manages to fund his account for POF , will he be asked to provide further documents ? Which document can they ask from a sponsor running such business?

5...Aside teaching, is there any other course or career path on the SOL list that I can go into with my first degree (Edu Biology) ?
Note: I have TRCN certificate.

Pls my people I honestly need answers to the above questions..
Thanks and God bless!

Thank you for your reply. On the list, there is Health managers, Health welfare managers, Ennviromental Health officers etc. They are the likely career paths for somebody that studied
Masters of Public Health.
How difficult/easy it is to get jobs generally in the Health sector, asides Nursing, Care workers and so on.
And, should he just change into maybe something like clinical psychology? (But she loves Public health too much mind you).
