Good. You must obey supreme Court order.

Anarchy is looming in Nigeria.

Court and some state governors versus federal government.

Loool. Two Nigerias in one,
yet this fact is not accepted by some Nigerian groups.

It is called a legal tender for a reason, you have no right to reject it if the government recognises it

Seriously, there is something inherently with some Nigerians as regards to rule of law and their basic rights. Can you imagine the nonsense a governor did and people are showing support tomorrow when their rights are stamped upon they cry blue murder. Tell me what the owner suppose to do. Banks informed him they were not going to collect old money from him and he in turn decided not to caught up in the power play by not accepting from customers. Do the governor wants him to bear the losses? Are businesses not open to make profit? let him go and arrest banks that have shut down and stop collecting the money. Every business owner has the RIGHTS to determine WHO AND WHOM TO SELL and WHAT CAN BE USED AS EXCHANGE as long as it is legally registered and not violating any existing rule or policy. This is crass dictatorship but unfortunately the courts are not there to help or give justice to common man. Sometimes when whites mock Africans these are kind of the news that supports that.

Aside that sef, if I open business and decided to collect only transfer, isn't it my choice?

I have my business, you have your cash...its only left for you to patronise, no one is forcing you to buy from me

Government policy affects everything you do.

There's no where government policy said I must accept only cash(old notes) for business.

You have the right to receive only transfer but you have no right to reject a legal tender.

The supermarket, which was shut for insisting on new notes, has written a letter to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to apologise for its action.

In the letter, the supermarket said it rejected the old notes based on the deadline set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the refusal of commercial banks to accept old notes.

https://dailytrust.com/well-start-accepting-old-notes-kano-supermarket-begs-ganduje/

Whatever anyone may think of the CBN policy (and I happen to think it’s been horribly implemented)…
Governor Gandollar has NO AUTHORITY to arbitrarily shut down a supermarket over an issue in dispute before the courts.

Panic is not really the problem. Just that PDP and their lite (LP) counterparts around here want to use it for political advantage. But they will fail.

Modified: Tinubu supporters should try and watch this Tinubu's NESG debate. This debate is changing so many wrong narratives against Asiwaju.

Ah, the so called white or any other discerning individual will recognise that the madness didn't start with the actions of Kano state government. Rather, it began when an incompetent Emefiele and his cronies at CBN decided to bite off more than it can chew.

Didn't you recognise the mockery when despite the ratio of old to new Naira notes being at 98:2, even at this very Feb 13, the alternate-reality living CBN are still insisting on an already due Feb 10 as deadline for old notes deposition?

Is it not mockery to your intelligence when the CBN, after admitting facing unprecedented challenges, including their inability to print new notes because of lack of printing papers, were still insisting Feb 15 as the last day for legally spending old notes? No be madness be that?

A bit rich to leave all that out only to start crying for a supermarket who are effectively rejecting a legal tender going by the Supreme Court's intervention.

The overwhelming majority of Nigerians only possess the old notes, if the supermarket insist on only collecting new notes, I see no need opening their doors to the public for now. They can remain closed by choice. Cashless policy no mean say we go dey buy 50 Naira Omo with bank transfers.
