I came across some of this pictures on my Facebook timeline and I cared to share 🙏

Now, this is what Nairaland is for ... such memories.

Crap that first one - Table Soccer, I first played in 1989 when Nigeria played portugal or some country we came back from 0-4 .
I used to organize the competition 8 teams ( 8 players split into 2 groups ) I attended Ifako Grammar School ( Ifako Ijaiye )

- Matchbox stuffed with sand was the keeper ( you then used Cellotape to wrap the thing)
-The cap of the bic pen was what we used move the players ( I was classy, some used their thumb and middle finger)
- I used to walk around with a bottle cap opening to keep the caps smooth and then you labelled each cap on top with numbers.
- The ball was the white roll inside of a cassette tape.

By then we believed that if we see any dog easing herself and we cross our fingers,it will remain in that position untill we release it🤣🤣🤣

Same thing when we see two hens fighting,and we cross our fingers together they will continue fighting untill we untangle our finger

Ours was CTL, we were so addicted to cartoon network, when our parents are asleep at night, we'll sneak out to watch cartoon. There was a day my mom took me and my brother to tailor shop to get our measurement and sew cloth for us, while at the tailor shop, her friend passed by and they got talking, they restored electricity, me and my brother ran home just to watch cartoon without informing her or letting the tailor take our measurement, they were showing power puff girls, she got home hours later after searching for us, what happened next is what I can't explain.

Coincidentally, a topic like this came up in one of my whatsapp groups yesterday and this morning, bringing back the sweet memories of the good old days. But mainly in the entertainment movie/tv industry.

Thank you for refreshing our brains. I wish i can go back to my childhood days free from problems and responsibilities. Whoever didnt witness all these in his or her childhood missed a great deal. Back then, there was true love and co-existence in our society. But today, hmmm, make we sha keep quiet.

I miss those days.


Even if I was a weird child, I still had that genuine smile on my face. Even though, I was worried about what the future holds— I still had those times, I let go of my worries and think of living a happy life.

I miss those days, I had a dad and wouldn't let him go anywhere without me. I miss my daddy's smile, his voice, history stories, I miss when he'd teach me math.

I miss those days, I'd get home from school on a Wednesday and momma had jollof rice ready for us. I wanna be with my mom (🥺), I miss my family, those crazy fights as kids, I miss the "innocent me". I miss my beautiful African mother (😞)

I miss those days, I didn't have to get up in all these madness, all these problems, those days were better...
