I believe the game from BAT and his henchmen is to continue with these adjournments till after the elections. Old notes are still legal tender as we speak hence all looted funds remain valid

Many are mad but few are roaming.. Direct your frustration to the right zone, am not the cause of your wailing.. And I never told you to vote anybody so you can take your stupidity out of my mention.. Whether you scream from now till tomorrow, it won't change the fact that the banks and grade A companies won't collect the old notes..
cheesy cheesy cheesy

I think you are the one being frustrated, you have been beating drum of shame hoping everyone loses their money, now you can't bear the thought that, not only can we spend it, we can continue to spend it until 22nd.

Talking about grade A, no body cares about them, this is about the people, not some stupid companies with directors in pain without any business orientation.

There's a difference between business and politics.

The Supreme Court Judgement on ex parte motion stands. Old naira remains a legal tender unless SC vacates its judgement.

Folks can now start suing Mr Emefiele in his personal capacity, the CBN, any bank or institution that rejects it and ask for their commital to prison or pay compensation to them for injury or discomfort caused them for rejecting the old N200, N500 & 1000 notes.
Feel free to accept and spend the old naira notes, as far as you are willing to receive them and able to find someone to collect it from you. Certainly not privately owned banks, public bank like cbn though.

Keep shut, I still use it today, it's still very much in circulation.

Why a Nigerian will be happy others will lose their money surprise me, and you want me to support PO.

Most of you are so stupid, you think if Tinubu or Atiku want to buy vote, they need the old notes, I don't think there's any managing director of a bank that will say no to any of them.

Imagine the Senate president visit a bank to exchange 200 million of old note, he won't even leave his car before they felt it.

Btw, if they suspend the old notes, it will be easier for them to buy votes because everyone will be so cash starved that even 2k of new notes will do the trick.
No need forming strong man on a faceless forum...!

Reality is a bitch!

Hold on to those old notes and keep spending them daily if you get mind... Let's see how many of your fellow Nigerians still accept them as legal tenders!

A drunken legal expert 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The fact that the CBN is not joined it the suit has created a leeway for CBN to reject the old notes.

Well, i advise you to collect all the old notes in your state of residence, if you can't spend them, go to the banks, if they reject them, go to the CBN, and if they still reject them as from on 20th, take them to ECOWAS court🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What kind play is this ?Now there is more uncertainty in the air .These G- Unit governor's should have followed up with the CBN cash policy right from the time of roll out to implementation.

No that exparte order has a limited lifespan of 7 days and it elapse automatically once there is motion on notice

Same way people suffer and still cheer Buhari + APC while the nation continues to retrogress since 2015!

Same way people cheered the government while ASUU went on strike for months on end!

Same way people mocked others and called them wailers for calling out useless leaders in the face of unemployment, job cuts, inflation, insecurity, etc!!!

It's quite hypocritical for anyone guilty of the above to call out those supporting CBN now!!!

Personally, I stay neutral and look at you all with pity!!!

I just want to ask you one question...
Is CBN a party to the suithuh
If not, then the CS have no jurisdiction over CBN
Re: Supreme Court Adjourns New Naira Note Suit Till February 22 by Nobody:

They want to pull a last straw on Tinubu at the very last hour. February 22 is a few days to the election, the old notes will become useless 3 days to election. What is more painful than that?
Which last straw? What concerns Tinubu with adjournment of case by CBN? It is only in an underdeveloped country that Supreme Court statement is not understood by the blinds. The old note remains a legal tender until Judgement is delivered by Supreme Court. Next Week Wednesday, there is the likelihood of the judgement to be postponed again which legally makes old note a legal tender till after election.

If Banks are rejecting it leading to filling stations rejecting it and commercial buses rejecting it, it can only frustrate INEC and not Tinubu.

If decision will be taking because of an individual (Tinubu) that is affecting over one hundred million people, then that individual is 50% of the entire nation, he is half of the entire nation as a single personality. He is a superhuman.

Buhari and Atiku made me to know that BOKO is HARAM and ALMAJIRIN system is HALAL. Nasir El Rufai championed the abolition of ALMAJIRIN system in the NORTH as a genius who thinks deeply. It is now, I can see clearly the thinking of a genius and the thinking of Buhari and Atiku who see BOKO as HARAM and ALMAJRIN as HALAL.

All Kara Markets and International Cattle markets including Alaba Rago have stopped collecting old naira notes this morning while awaiting Supreme Court judgement by 2pm.

About 20 minutes ago, I just passed information to a Kara Markets leader that the judgement has been postponed till next week Wednesday.

I expected this , since more states are joining suit to either go against the naira swap policy which is definitely coming from apc state governors about 9 of them now with about 5 new apc state governors joining against the naira swap policy, it's very funny but not funny, why is apc governors almost all of them are scared of this naira swap policy with bulabaa shouting it's targeted at him to stop him from not wining election meaning he already plans to do vote buying with these old naira hoarded somewhere, interestingly two PDP state governors are now joining FG to support them on the naira swap policy of the CBN, Edo state and bayselsa respectively now on Federal government side , this case go long more days to come except more PDP state governors to support FG while more apc governors go against anybody or institution rejecting old naira notes, the drama just got started, the adjournment will be a long one and if this happens the possible is defeated but then CBN messed up because they failed woefully to print new naira notes on time, they were busy collecting old naira notes making people suffering now look at how POS are charging Nigerians for withdrawal of old naira notes ooo, the whole thing was not planned well , emefiele fell in the hands of apc governors and bulabaa agbado cassava man but God has the final say . CBN has made a great mistake

I love this comment by the justice okoro. It gives me a sense of the direction the case will go eventually. God bless the supreme court for acknowledging that the masses are suffering from this policy. But zombiediots are still supporting the evil.
Nobody is saying we are not suffering as a consequence of the policy. But for the past 7 years we've been suffering from APC's wickedness yet these evil governors never went to court.
Now that the suffering has reached their doorsteps they r pretending to act in defence of the masses.
I have a feeling Buhari wants to f*ck up Tinubu & the criminal governors. He should go ahead, let's bear it once and for all.
Funny how y'all criticizing only Buhari & Emefiele don't also call out Tinubu, the governors & the corrupt bank officials sabotaging the efforts of the CBN to stop vote buying.
We should stop being clever by half.

That's what they don't understand, or choose to pretend about.

Most Nigerians have since started rejecting the old notes!

Most shops don't collect it, and you can't force them to.

If you don't have the new notes, you can't purchase anything in most shops in Nigeria today!

Leave them to be forming motivational speakers on Nairaland!... Those old notes go hook them.

I expect normalcy to be restored soon. God bless Nigeria

You don't get it...!

Some Nigerians have found a way around it, and are merciless towards those who have not.

Most Nigerians don't have empathy for their fellow citizens... And some people are okay to be in inconvenience as long as those they hate are suffering.

There is no unity in this nation even in the midst of serious suffering!

That's why your leaders can be comfortably gallivanting about doing campaigns while the masses are pushed to animalistic behaviors... They know that no amount of suffering will unite a people hellbent on hating themselves more than their wicked leaders!!!
