You will need a loud speaker, you think the case will just come to an end because its your family meeting lol.

By 22nd 5 new states will join and another week will be added, most of you are just kids, you have no idea how anything work, you think the supreme Court is a football club that if you shout loud enough, they will change their manager or sell a player lol!

You are in for a very disappointing show, what a whole SGF can't do, even the president can't do anything until the case is resolved, keep dreaming.
Okay... Let's the case be dragging on... I don't mind .. but remember that SC is located in Abuja, and not everybody is in that Abuja... So when next u want to spend your old notes and it's been rejected, then tell the person that he must collect it.. okay...
Some of you thinks because the Supreme Court is the highest it can rule anyhow....
This case is under the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court... And since it involves the monetary policy, it's only the Federal government that can take the CBN to the SC...

Mumu. You think the CJN can interfere in a case he is not part of? Olodo, FYI, the CJN is just a first among equals.
I don't know how these guys reason self... Every supreme Court Justice is an entity on their own... The cjn isn't appionted by president but the Nigerian judicial council and to remove him two third of Senate must agree that's after NJC recommendation for removal to president... That's why onnoghen was ready to fight on after his illegal suspension till NJC advise he resigned which he did...

If you do not want the old Naira go and argue with the Supreme Court. Otherwise, you are at grave risk of being sued and paying damages. Serious organizations should have started putting their risk assessment in place now.

Only a tiny fraction of Nigerians are idle social media mind with 'anything goes' mentality or consumed by the politics of ignorance, hate and bigotry wink
APC has being crippled.. Sorry for your loss

cheesy cheesy cheesy

I think you are the one being frustrated, you have been beating drum of shame hoping everyone loses their money, now you can't bear the thought that, not only can we spend it, we can continue to spend it until 22nd.

Talking about grade A, no body cares about them, this is about the people, not some stupid companies with directors in pain without any business orientation.

There's a difference between business and politics.
Hoping people lose their money? Like I don't have the old notes in my wallet right now? Are you that dumb? The message was clear "look for ways to spend because we have leaders playing politics right now with the current situation. How can the Supreme Court rule on something and the CBN is saying another thing, yet we have a president who is mute about the whole situation. What does that tells you to start with?
Make ona de try get sense.. Even Keke drivers have stopped receiving the old notes here in PH.. To avoid problem I just give them the new notes but in the quest to spend the old notes, I bring it out first..

You don't get it...!

Some Nigerians have found a way around it, and are merciless towards those who have not.

Most Nigerians don't have empathy for their fellow citizens... And some people are okay to be in inconvenience as long as those they hate are suffering.

There is no unity in this nation even in the midst of serious suffering!

That's why your leaders can be comfortably gallivanting about doing campaigns while the masses are pushed to animalistic behaviors... They know that no amount of suffering will unite a people hellbent on hating themselves more than their wicked leaders!!!
There is no way around this. It must be resolved else everything will scatter! angry

The Supreme Court Judgement on ex parte motion stands. Old naira remains a legal tender unless SC vacates its judgement.

Folks can now start suing Mr Emefiele in his personal capacity, the CBN, any bank or institution that rejects it and ask for their commital to prison or pay compensation to them for injury or discomfort caused them for rejecting the old N200, N500 & 1000 notes.

What exactly is Tinubu's stake in this Naira issue??!... Why does his name keep popping up?!!

So he can't win an election without old notes still in circulation?!!

... That's seriously suspicious!!!
Rumors has it he has excess of 200b warehoused for this election. Ofcourse in old notes.
Re: Supreme Court Adjourns New Naira Note Suit Till February 22 by omotayocaleb(m): 11:37am On Feb 15, 2023
So the country can burn. The people can suffer till then. So sad. If it's who gets what. The case will be decided.

The judgement stand, you want to cry, do so at your convenience, no body care, we move.

I can see how pained you are from here, you pain gives me a special kind of joy, we will spend it and continue to, you can close your shop until the case is resolved and see if we care.
You are trying too hard to convince no one! Rest oga!

Nairaland and Supreme court can say whatever they like... Governors can form activity from now till tomorrow!

The average Nigerian citizens listen to only two people: Buhari and CBN!

If these two people don't verbally and clearly rescind their imposed deadline (which is already past), then your old notes become your cross to bear!

Let's not bicker or bandy words online... Walk about and spend those old notes as you like!

I don't know your location, but everywhere I have been, most Nigerians are rejecting the old notes! Facts!

When you pay driver or mama put or trader or even supermarket, and they refuse to accept the notes, call Elrufai or CJN to come and lock them up!!!

No need beating chest online!!!

You underestimate the power of disunity among sufferhead people!

The solution or resolution lies with CBN... They have enough new notes (forget the lies online)... They are simply limiting the amount in circulation for reasons best known to them!

The way I see it... The new 200 notes may become more abundant soon! However, you see that 500 or even 1000 note... Dem go scarce for a very long time!

I've always had something for collecting old notes. currently i have 50 kobo, 1 & 2 naira, biafran pound, old 5, 10, 20 and 50 bucks. someone once offered me 10k for 50 kobo i rejected it, i'll get a better offer when i put up the whole collection for auction.

It's so easy to tell people who don't know what's happening around them!

Go and sue the market women, commercial drivers, fast food vendors, etc, across Nigeria!!!

Most states have been widely rejecting old notes since last week till date!

I agree that the CJN is professionally incapacitated but that consolidation will enable for faster and better hearing. I am with Emefiele and Buhari on this. No to vote buying by Tinubu

To all Nigerians suffering this, I apologise on behalf of the CBN and FG. You're not alone, I'm also among those feeling the heat. Buhari had done 2 wonderful things which was why I voted him in 2015, given his antecedents but he's acting late. Well, better late than never shaa.. who says again that Buhari doesn't know what he's going? grin. I wish the indomie generation supporting nonsense witnessed his rule in the 80s. The 2 wonderful things he did were...

1) Reassurance on free and fair election by embracing BVAS

2) Naira redesign to cut their ill-gotten health to size. I keep saying this...Nigeria isn't a bad country. But the choices we make in electing bad people in government out of sentiments keep denting our image as a nation by allowing bad people to continue to hold sway. We will get sense someday.
wao this is well- said my brother

More headache and uncertainty for Tinubu and his vote buying APC Governors.
The 7 days ex parte order stopping CBN from accepting the old naira note has elapsed today, and the Supreme court didn't renew or extend it today.
Old Naira cease to be legal tender
Election is less than 10 days away
Buhari will overide the current order.
CBN will keep insisting old naira note has expired

Buhari is being used. Because he has said that he was deceived. But Emefiele has a axe to grind for losing in APC primary because he has spent billions buying cars for the campaign.

Good intention of the CBN has been sabotaged. What is the fate of the masses now?
Emiefele should stop the circulation of 1000, 500 and 200 naira notes but he should ensure there is adequate 100, 50 and 20 naira notes.
Bank ATM should dispense 100 notes
Can you recall the last time #100 notes were printed in Nigeria that you are mentioning it?

This is legal pyrotechnics and tactics to keep people in doubt of whether to accept old naira notes or reject them.People will prefer to be on safer side not to accept them.

Nigeria is finished. Imagine SC adjoining such a critical case. Emefiele has got wind of it yesterday, that's why he came out to speak.
As it is CBN order stands until after Elections when Buhari has achieved his purpose.
The country system has collapsed, thanks to Bubu.
