If you collect 500 and 1000, you can only deposit it at the CBN.
I don't think that's much good news, is it?

You have to admire Buhari's stubbornness.

Take-aways from his speech:

- The old 500 and 1000 naira notes are no longer legal tender but can be exchanged at any CBN branches.

- The old 200 naira is to be recirculated alongside the new notes.

- Go and vote for your choice by February 25th as adequate security would be provided and your votes will count.

But 200 notes have never been in good quantity. This will still bring untold hardship. Mr President was ill advised.

In addition, he should have confirmed that the banks already have this 200 naira and new notes to give to customers.

If you go to the bank now, you won't see the 200 notes or the new notes.

So, why create a problem without providing solutions?

I just listened to him talking. As far as am concerned, he's not above the supreme court. And as such am gonna continue accepting and spending the whole denominations as ordered by the supreme court. It's time we cut his wing and make people know that purl lead is superior to any devilish dictator.
