Not many are riding on the status and image of Buhari. Buhari is old news, but Northern culture like the West places a premium on respect for trailblazers.

Buhari has done his best for the North and is currently the avatar of Northern interest. You can't just recklessly attack him because of your selfish ambition. It will not earn you support, rather it'll erode it. So it's not about being scared of Buhari as a person per se, it is that beside the Sultan, no one else in the North commands as much respect as Buhari.

I think it still fair enough. N200 notes will be to bulky to use as election vote buying material. 1 bundle of 200 is just 2000. Just imagine when you have to give 10000 and above? Ordinary 5000 sef is 2and half bundle.
