It's good for the people though. God will scatter unity in the camp of our enemies.

The governors are not afraid of Buhari.

He is what is called a dead duck President. His term will soon end and he will fade into obscurity.

They have their immunity and have nothing to worry about. The only reason why no governor has attacked Buhari personally is his 12 million Buharists.

How many 200 naira notes will they bring at the polling station.

It will be very noticeable and implicating.

Unlike using the usual 1000 note.

They are very stranded, hence that's why they are resisting it

This up there bolded is enough reason to be afraid of him. Most governors in the north, particularly the APC ones are riding on the status and image of Buhari in the core north. 12 million Buharists is no joke in the equation. It's not about their immunity or lack of it. If they ever come out against Buhari in the north, it's advantage Atiku. They openly brag about inheriting Buharis northern votes, this is why they are afraid of criticizing him

As for Ortom, his people say he failed, his people are obviously anti-APC, so he's safe playing anti Buhari, for the sake of his senatorial ambition

The point is that Buhari and CBN know the amount of old 200 notes in circulation. They know the value of old 1000 and 500 notes still out there. Now if u want to exchange ur 1k and 500 for 200, u have to go through CBN, wahala for those who have store of 1k and 500 in their houses. The people that want to buy votes most likely would have kept 1k notes at home(my guess).

Not many are riding on the status and image of Buhari. Buhari is old news, but Northern culture like the West places a premium on respect for trailblazers.

Buhari has done his best for the North and is currently the avatar of Northern interest. You can't just recklessly attack him because of your selfish ambition. It will not earn you support, rather it'll erode it. So it's not about being scared of Buhari as a person per se, it is that beside the Sultan, no one else in the North commands as much respect as Buhari.

I'm just pointing out the nuance. We both agree that the govs can't attack Buhari. You think it is borne out of fear. I think it is because of prudence. Buhari is the fly on a nutsack.

If Buhari was serious with vote buying, he would have started in 2019 when the vice president was in markets in major cities sharing trader moni. I hate hypocrisy.
The old 200 notes would still find their way to the politicians while the ordinary masses continue in their Lamentations.

I hate hypocrisy and betrayal too.

But I won't condemn a hypocritical criminal that betrayed his fellow criminal, so that the villagers would have peace.

Listen to radio this morning
It is official
Only 200 naira note is allowed as legal tender

500 and 1000 naira note can not be used anymore

Buhari say vote any candidates of your choice

Don't be scared security will be provided

I love what Buhari is doing

If this is the only thing he can be remembered for
Please also ensure dss, efcc, well trained police and icpc all scattered around polling unit that day

Buhari say As of October 2022, therefore, currency in circulation had risen to N3.23 trillion; out of which only N500 billion was within the Banking System while N2.7 trillion remained permanently outside the system; thereby distorting the financial policy and efficient management of inflation

Yes yes yes....if this is the only thing Buhari will do for us

We all must go out of our convenient zone to make this country work please 🙏 for posterities
Buhari wasn't a Saint either, Osinbajo was in the market then sharing money to people
was that not a form of vote buying just calm down. They are all corrupt set of politicians

And do you know that the existing guideline is under litigation in the supreme court thereby making the president culpable

Dude, this is Nigeria.

He deliberately put up this announcement after the Supreme Court failed to deliberate yesterday and adjourned the case so close to the polls.

Now, he has told the Supreme Court to pound sand. And they can't hurriedly come up with an emergency order because they pushed it to the 22nd, thinking they're smart.

The plan has always been to keep adjourning until after the elections. Buhari just told those miscreants to f*ck off. And to avoid making it seem like Emefiele is out of sync with Aso Rock, he gave a public address. No one in the entire Judiciary can sanction Buhari.

If they hold him in contempt, who is going to act on it? If them get mind, let Ayoola and Okoro hold Buhari in contempt, then kick it to Gbaja to use it as a pretext to put articles of impeachment to a vote (it would fail in the house, but as an academic exercise, let's assume all that happens). Then we'd find out just how many votes Tinubu will get on the 25th.

Buhari's address this morning was a chess checkmate. He offered El-Rufai and co an out yesterday. They had the guts to reject it. Now he's made it policy and told them to do their worst through the Judiciary.

The cold civil war will continue until a winner emerges. The governors will deliberately scuttle enforcement in their states and that may help with securing votes. So Ondo, Kano, Kaduna, Lagos will have lax enforcement. But it will be a risky bet. If Atiku wins, all those money will become tissue paper and a lot of these outspoken governors will be unable to install their successors which will be their punishment.

For governors like Akeredolu, they've gone too far to back down now. This is the final hurdle. So they'd take any risk.

All that matters right now is the Northern vote. I still think there's a February surprise coming. Who would the Imams endorse on 24th Juma'at?

There is something called experience and some people said, it is the best teacher. He thought that will be all but unknown to him that those who taught him that still have much more in stock.

He was made to understand that, during the primaries for both PDP and APC at both the federal and state levels.

But unknown to them, that the music they were dancing to it's rhythm was being listened to, by him. He got the meanings of the lyrics and instead of asking them for the meanings, he contacted the writer not even the singer, of the lyrics and then, there was gnashing and agony on their faces.

I think it still fair enough. N200 notes will be to bulky to use as election vote buying material. 1 bundle of 200 is just 2000. Just imagine when you have to give 10000 and above? Ordinary 5000 sef is 2and half bundle.

Which school did you attend?

So 200×100 is 2000 in your village school you attended😂
