When a Philosophy or a Religion is based on lies, it is easy to discover them through asking questions. Usually in the Court of Law, to unravel if a position is speaking the truth or not, several questions are asked in order to see if there's contradiction or illogicalities or lack of evidence in their presentations.

This post is based on my last interaction with my very own person on NL where he made an assertion that prophet Mohammed will intercede for Muslims (w.r.t. Entering Paradise)

https://www.nairaland.com/post/120978237

I asked him the question:
And you honestly think that this is not FABRICATED as usual?

USUALLY, I present my Thesis before asking Questions, however, not to be a bore to non Muslims I will push the Thesis to the second page.

THE QUESTIONS:
1. If according to Islam, every prophet is in their graves PRAYING, how did Mohammed MEET them and converse with them in the seven heavens?
2. If Mohammed will be the FIRST to be Resurrected, was the narrative of the Journey to heaven REAL or FICTIONAL?
(Is the Buraq Real or Not and is Jubril real or not?)
3. Who built the Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem?
In the time of Mohammed, there was no single Mosque in Jerusalem (In fact historically, Jerusalem was baren and desolate at this time as the Romans sacked and dispersed them). Secondly, the Romans had pulled down the Temple of Solomon to its foundation, so it didn't exist again.
4. Who witnessed the Isra Miraj apart from Mohammed? Who else can serve as a WITNESS to this Night Journey of Mohammed?

REFERENCES and BACKGROUND

Even though this is related, the post of today starts with the Quranic verse.

Qur'an 3:144
Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him. Will it be that, when he dieth or is slain, ye will turn back on your heels? He who turneth back on his heels doth no hurt to Allah, and Allah will reward the thankful.

In Summary:
1. Mohammed is a Messangers
2. Other Messangers before Mohammed had died (in context to the next sentence)
3. Therefore, IF after the death of Mohammed his followers left Islam it doesn't do Allah any harm BUT those who remain faithful in gratitude, Allah will reward.

The issue today is NOT to argue whether Jesus is an exception or not but another interesting observation in the hadith below

Sahih al-Bukhari 7427, 7428
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "vThe people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection, then suddenly I will see Moses holding one of the pillars of the Throne." Abu Huraira said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be the first person to be resurrected and will see Moses holding the Throne."

This is also supported by Saheeh al-Jaami' as-Sagheer: No. 2570 and 2373,

Summary:
On the day of Resurrection, Mohammed would be the FIRST to be Resurrected!

The Question is:
Before the day of Resurrection, where are ALL those who died on earth?

Mohammed, gave us the answer:

1. The Martyred:
“And say not of those who are martyred in the way of Allah, “they are dead”, nay, they are living, though you perceive it not” (Surah al-Baqarah, 154).
2. The Prophets
Anas ibn Malik narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “The Prophets are alive in their graves performing Salat” (Recorded by al-Bayhaqi in his Hayat al-Anbiya’ and Abu Ya’la in his Musnad).

Mohammed confirmed that he also will be in the grave
Aws ibn Aws narrates the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) as saying: “Send salutations in abundance on me on Friday, as your sending salutations are presented to me.” The Companions inquired: “How is it possible that you receive our salutations when your body will have been decayed?” The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Verily Allah has made forbidden on the earth that it eats the bodies of the Prophets” (Recorded by Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Darami and others, and authenticated by many, such as Ibn al-Qayyim).

3. For Others (non prophets nor martyr) After some time in your grave, you are then visited by two angels, known as Munkar and Nakir. They are assigned to test the faith of those dead within their graves. When they arrive, they sit you up in your grave and ask you the following: “Who is your Lord? Who is your Prophet? And what is your faith?”. The result of your examination will determine if the grave will be comfortable or harsh for the person.

Summary:
All those who died on earth whether Martyr, Prophet or Anyone else are CONSCIOUS in their GRAVE

Finally:
Mohammed while ALIVE was taken by Jubril to Paradise and the seven Heavens in a night Journey . Isra Miraj is one of the most notable events in the religious history of Islam. I won't want to bore you with the ELABORATE IMAGINATIVE story .

1. Mohammed was taken by Jubril on one of the animals of heaven called
Buraq to “the farthest mosque” Masjid al-Aqsa, in Jerusalem. The Buraq is one of the animals of paradise and is described as “a white creature that is larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place its hoof (step) a distance equal to the range of his vision." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
2. After this Mohammed was taken to the seven Heavens where he met (at different tares) the old prophets starting with Adam and then John the Baptist with Jesus and then Joseph, Aaron, Moses and Abraham (in the seventh heaven).
3. Then Mohammed was permitted to go above the seventh heaven . When he finally reached the highest level in the heavens, he was brought into the Divine Presence of the Almighty Allah s.w.t, alone at Sidratul Muntaha (a boundary beyond which none may pass). It is said to be the boundary that has never been passed by anyone except by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Here, Rasulullah s.a.w. was given the Divine Decree for the believers to establish 50 daily prayers......and later reduced to 5 after he had consulted several times with Moses

THE QUESTIONS:
1. If according to Islam, every prophet is in their graves PRAYING, how did Mohammed MEET them and converse with them in the seven heavens?

In Islam, a human is composed of Soul and Body! The connection of Soul to body are defined differently in five cases:

A. as a foetus in the womb
B. at Birth
C. during sleep
D. in the Barzaakh (Period between death and the day of Resurrection). Here the soul is separated from the body but still has a connection to it.
E. On the day of Resurrection (when there will be no death)

The Soul separates from the body after death...
Imam Ahmad (17803) narrated that al-Bara ibn ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“Verily, when the believing slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him angels from heaven with white faces, as if their faces are the sun. They bring with them one of the shrouds of Paradise and some of the perfume of Paradise. They sit with him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death (peace be upon him) comes to him and sits by his head and says, ‘O pure soul, come out to the forgiveness and pleasure of Allah.’ Then his soul comes flowing out like a drop of water flowing from a cup. Then he takes the soul, and no sooner does he seize it but they take it and place it in that shroud and perfume. Then out of it comes the most excellent fragrance of musk to be found on the face of the earth. Then they ascend with it and they do not pass by any group of angels but the angels ask, ‘Who is this pure soul?’ and they reply, ‘It is So and So the son of So and So’ – using the best names by which he was known on earth. Then they bring it to the lowest heaven, and ask for it to be opened, and it is opened for him. Those who are of high rank in each heaven accompany it until they approach the next heaven, and so it goes until it reaches the seventh heaven. Then Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: ‘Record the book of My slave in ‘Illiyyun (the highest heaven) and take him back to the earth, for I created them from it, and I shall return them to it, then I shall take them out from it again.’ Then his soul is returned to his body and two angels come and make him sit up”

Then the hadith mentions the questioning in the grave , then it mentions how the soul of the disbeliever is taken, then it says:

“Then they ascend with it and they do not pass by any group of angels but the angels ask, ‘Who is this evil soul?’ and they reply, ‘It is So and So the son of So and So’ – using the worst names by which he was known on earth. Then they bring it to the lowest heaven, and ask for it to be opened, and it is not opened for him.” Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited (interpretation of the meaning): “… For them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle” [al-A’raf 7:40]. Then he said, “Then Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: ‘Record the book of My slave in Sijjin (the lowest Hell) in the lowest earth. Then his soul is cast down.” Then he recited (interpretation of the meaning): “… and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.” [al-Hajj 22:31]. He said, “Then his soul is returned to his body and two angels come and make him sit up” Then it mentions the questioning in the grave .” (Classed as sahih by al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami‘, 1676)

In the Barzaakh, the soul of the dead meet one another as Allah wills. The Soul can be returned to the body as Allah wills.

According to the hadith narrated from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari and others of the salaf, and narrated by Abu Hatim in al-Sahih from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “When his soul is taken up it is met by the souls who ask him about the living and they say to one another: ‘Let him rest.’ And they say: ‘What happened to So and So?’ And he says: ‘He did a righteous deed.’ They say: ‘What happened to So and So?’ and he says: ‘Has he not come to you?’ They say: ‘No.’ They say: ‘He was taken to the Pit (of Hell).’”

And because the deeds of the living are shown to the dead, Abu’l-Darda used to say: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from doing any deed that would shame me before ‘Abd-Allah ibn Rawahah.” This is how they meet when he comes and they ask him questions and they answer him.

Where does Soul settle?
With regard to where Souls settle, that depends on their status before Allah. For the one who is among those who are close to Allah (al-muqarrabin – cf. al-Waqi’ah 56:88), his status will be higher than those of the Right Hand (cf. al-Waqi’ah 56:90). The one who is higher may descend to the one who is lower but the one who is lower cannot ascend to the one who is higher, thus they will gather when Allah wills as they used to gather in this world, despite their differences in status, and they will visit one another.

That will happen whether their places in which they are buried in this world are far apart or close together. Souls may meet even though their places of burial are far apart, or they may be separated even though their places of burial are close together. A believer may be buried beside a disbeliever, but the soul of the former will be in Paradise whilst the soul of the latter is in Hell. Two men may be sitting or sleeping in the same place, but the heart of one is blessed and the heart of the other is tormented, and there is no connection between the two souls. As the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Souls are troops collected together and those who got along with each other (in the heaven from whence they come) would have an affinity with one another (in this world) and those amongst them who opposed each other (in heaven) would also be divergent (in the world).” (Narrated by Muslim, 2638; Majmu’ al-Fatawa, 24/368)

Moreso, this a matter of the unseen and we can only state what is narrated or proven in the authentic tradition of the Prophet!

2. If Mohammed will be the FIRST to be Resurrected, was the narrative of the Journey to heaven REAL or FICTIONAL?
(Is the Buraq Real or Not and is Jubril real or not?)
The narrative of that journey was real. Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam will be the first to be resurrected on resurrection day! Buraaq and Jubril are of course real!

The Mosque is not necessary a building at the time. It is at most a compound or let's call it a "site" in Nigeria language.
So they prayed at Masjid Al Aqsa does not mean it was an established Mosque as it is today back then!

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The entire earth has been made a place of prayer, except for graveyards and washrooms.” Sunan al-Tirmidhī 317

4. Who witnessed the Isra Miraj apart from Mohammed? Who else can serve as a WITNESS to this Night Journey of Mohammed?
No human witnessed it. Just as no one witnessed Matthew, John, Paul, Mark and Luke writing any of their several Books in the New Testament!

Unlike you, there’s proof for EVERYTHING I say. You call it slander right? Just two quick questions:

1. Is there a saying amongst Yoruba that an habitual liar is a potential thief?

2. Are you not an habitual liar, having said several untrue statements without proof?

Lol! I do not pray you either die as a potential thief or an actual thief who’ll be hanged like Lawrence Aninih/TenQnih grin
Another lie in highlight! LOL!

Unfortunately for you, until you quit dodging my questions, you don't deserve an iota of civility with respect to your diversionary questions !

Respond sensibly to my questions.

There is no point wasting time on you since you are not asking to know truth and then embrace truth. Your questions are just to stair up arguments. We are too busy to engage you in fruitless arguments.
Mr man. If only you had responded to the OP, I wouldn't have made that comment.

Even till now, the questions of the OP has been dodged by all of you Muslims. Was the travel of Mohammed to the 7 Heavens REAL or FICTIONAL! QED!!

I will wait for you to respond to the op

First, I mus appreciate your response to the questions. You are at least more HONOURABLE than most here. The responses are to the best of your understanding and I can see that references were used to justify your understanding.

Thanks one again!
I will break my response into two parts

Question 1:
If according to Islam, every prophet is in their graves PRAYING, how did Mohammed MEET them and converse with them in the seven heavens?

Your Response:
AntiChristian:

I have taken time to read your response and this are my observations.
1. The souls of the dead are alive and conscious
2. in the Barzaakh the soul is separated from the body but still has a connection to it.
3. According to Imam Ahmad (17803) , the soul of the dead is first taken up to the seven heavens , their names written for heaven or hell before Allah commands that it be returned to the body on earth!
4. In the Barzaakh, the soul of the dead meet one another as Allah wills. I assume that this will be on earth.
5. Finally, you addressed Where does Soul settles as DEPENDING on their depends on their status before Allah.
But,
Here, there is a fatal contradiction
A. The location seem to be on earth where the higher in hierarchy can visit the lower but not vise Versa
B. However, it is ALSO reported that "A believer may be buried beside a disbeliever, but the soul of the former will be in Paradise whilst the soul of the latter is in Hell"

Questions:
1. Does this mean that some souls are not returned with their bodies but are in Paradise, while others are in Hell?
2. Is prophet Mohammed in Paradise or in his grave?
3. If all the prophets are already in Paradise, why is there a need for Resurrection?
4. Doesn't this contract the hadith where Mohammed implored you Muslims to do salat on him?
5. Does this not also contradict the hadith where the prophets are praying IN their graves?

Thank you.

Question 2:
If Mohammed will be the FIRST to be Resurrected, was the narrative of the Journey to heaven REAL or FICTIONAL?
(Is the Buraq Real or Not and is Jubril real or not?)

Your Response:

AntiChristian:

The narrative of that journey was real. Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam will be the first to be resurrected on resurrection day! Buraaq and Jubril are of course real!
Thanks for being real and direct.
If I got you correctly, You claimed that the narration is REAL.

Since this is real, it cannot be said to be a dream but a real occurrence.(I am not claiming you said it's a dream o, I am just eliminating it as an explanation)

Question 3.

Your Response:
AntiChristian:

The Mosque is not necessary a building at the time. It is at most a compound or let's call it a "site" in Nigeria language.
So they prayed at Masjid Al Aqsa does not mean it was an established Mosque as it is today back then!

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The entire earth has been made a place of prayer, except for graveyards and washrooms.” Sunan al-Tirmidhī 317
I think this your answer is too VAGUE!
Why!?
Anywhere on earth could potentially be the location including your mosque in Nigeria.
The other issue is the case of designation, a land is ordinary until it becomes DESIGNATED as a mosque. In this sense since no where in Jerusalem or Israel had been designated as a mosque, the argument is extremely weak.

Finally, the farthest Mosque using your claim of "the entire earth" should be somewhere close to Australia or within the Southern hemisphere of the earth.

I thus represent my original question as there was no designation for such a place in the time of Mohammed.

Question 4.
Who witnessed the Isra Miraj apart from Mohammed? Who else can serve as a WITNESS to this Night Journey of Mohammed?

AntiChristian:

No human witnessed it. Just as no one witnessed Matthew, John, Paul, Mark and Luke writing any of their several Books in the New Testament!
At least, I still appreciate your truthfulness on responding to this question.

You will note from the earlier revealed scripture that ALL Miracles had at least ONE witness. The Report of the writers of the gospel had evidence of the occurrence of their writings since many of the primary witnesses were alive at the time of the writings. Of course, this is NOT a miracle.

If there was no witness, not even ANY of the 13 Wives of prophet Mohammed not any of the companions, how can we TRUST that the report is TRUE?

Has the prophet Mohammed ever claimed ANYTHING which turned out to be completely UNTRUE?
