My people,

Please my brother is applying for visitor's visa to attend a business event that is last for 4 days.

Occupation: Business man, Self-employed

Yearly income: N8,000,000
monthly spending: N200,000

How much he will spend on this trip: N2,000,000
Dependents: 2 children

Please are this details on the money ok?

Thank you for a speedy response

Please

The ECO will just laugh. So you work hard to earn 8 million a year, only to want to blow 2 million in 4 days? That’s unrealistic 😂 please don’t set yourself up. Just make everything to be very cheap and find the cheapest flight. At least 1.2m on the trip should be ok

Please can you explain the ratio he should use.

N2M was based on the fact that flight is about N1M nowadays.

He should get flight tickets reservations m, attach to documents uploaded and review that trip budget downwards.

That's a bad idea. UKVI requires applicants to await decisions on their visas before getting flight ticket reservations.

The ECO might catch the whiff of desperation if you add that in.

Good morning people, please I need your advice on this.

My brother wants to apply for UK visa renewal. Has been issued visa thrice before and the last one was 2 year visa. He eqrms about 800k monthly from a good organisation. The challenge is that he hardly deducts from his monthly salary leaving his balance at about N5m with a debit of less than 300k.in six months.

His expenses of about 200k monthly are from his savings account with bank A which he doesn't want to add because there was a POF payment that passed through it during the period. He has another account with bank B that has some inflow and outlflows too but not that much as his other savings account in Bank A.

He wants to reapply for 2 years....but worried that ECO would wonder why no debits on the salary account.

What do you advise?

Thanks

Your statements have to coincide with what you declared on the application. They would want to see monthly expenses you stated reflected on the account statements

Hello all,

I am trying to self upload for my mum’s application. what section should her cover letter be?

Also, she is sponsoring herself, but staying at my brother’s home, should she upload his lease agreement to the sponsor section?

Can someone explain this statement to me from the ukvi website?

You must have this money for at least 28 consecutive days. The end date of the 28-day period must be within 31 days of the date you apply for your visa.

What is difficult in that...

You have 28-31 days in a month.
You are required to hold a certain amount for at least 28 days consecutively (i.e day to day for 1.......28 days).
It could be from any date, but must kept for consecutive days... thus if within the 28days the amt falls below the figure needed, the cycle has been broken and needs a restart
For instance 15th of ..... to 12th of the next month(+/- 3/1 or nothing if it were a 28/30 days month)

He should present his savings account where he does is expenditure on, and state in the form as you have explained.

I'd advise that you edit the application if possible. If you begin another application, I hope it won't restrict the amount that you will be entitled to. My wife had a similar experience just about 2 weeks ago when her application for 2k USD was rejected because she didn't upload a certain document. Unfortunately she was only allowed on the CBN portal to apply for a 2K again when she filled another application despite the fact thst she had changed her mind and was willing to apply for the maximum 4k.

you have anY idea, WHICH banks have higher chances of success.

Such a turnoff hearing from a third party.
Best to hear from the horse's mouth, just like the adage " Na person wey wear shoe know where e they pain am"

My brother. so i referred them as solicitors. Truth , you can not convey the message better than the concerned. They should ask their siblings/spouses/relatives/ etc to join Nairaland, and ask themselves. In less than 10 mins, you can have an NL account. LOL, bro whats good with you?

Your brother has demonstrated that he is not a flight risk. He has travelled to the UK multiple times, didn't overstay, and returned when he said he would. It always gets easier with each subsequent application. I applied for a 2yr visa last year and i had just a little over 300k in my account and i got it. I'd advise he use Bank B statement of account. What could help is if his intended departure date is well in the future giving the ECO the impression there's still time for the applicant to save up for the trip. Besides, how many people intending to visit and not reurn would apply for 2yrs visa

Youre right but this is what i saw when i gooled it:
You should schedule an appointment for your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the country where you live. You may schedule your interview at another U.S. Embassy or Consulate, but be aware that it may be more difficult to qualify for a visa outside of the country where you live.

please is the sponsors account enough for a 16 years old child visa application, or the child must show his account also

Hi everyone.

I was refused a visa in 2021 and I lost my US student visa refusal letter. It is required for a student visa application I’m making to the UK, I was given a conditional offer to the school pending when I send the letter across. I have explained in a letter that I have lost the letter and stated the reason for my denial (home ties), but they’re still insisting on the letter, what do I do please?

Hi everyone,
I need your advice on below:

I got a 6 months visit visa to attend a conference in November last year but the conference had passed before I received my passport back.

I'm planning to go for a one week vacation next month, do I have to be worried about not using the visa for what I had applied for it for ?

Do I need to prepare for any immigration question ahead ?

The visa is valid till first week of May.

Thanks.

Goodday Honourable's,

Pls what's The difference between BRP mail and collection mail??

The difference is there in the question you asked already. One is to notify you of getting your BRP, the other is to notify of collection/pick up.
