Confusion Trails ADC’s Purported Endorsement Of Obi, Atiku, Tinubu by AnonPoet: 3:56am On Feb 21, 2023
The crisis in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a new dimension as different factions have now endorsed three different presidential candidates while its own standard-bearer, Dumebi Kachikwu, continues to express displeasure over the moves by the party.

Meanwhile, elements in the party have on different occasions announced their endorsements for the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, respectively.

But the gale of endorsement has met stiff resistance from the presidential candidate of the party, Dumebi Kachikwu, who has dismissed it as the handiwork of people trying to allegedly sell the party for a pittance.

Tribune Online checks on Monday revealed that the party standard-bearer is livid that those he referred to as corrupt party members are making his campaign difficult by creating the impression that the party has no presidential candidate.

Sources close to Dumebi Kachikwu affirmed that due to the actions of a few members of the party, he has been unable to kick off his presidential campaign in states because he has been left with nobody to welcome him.

“The other day, they endorsed PDP, APC and today again, it is Labour after collecting money from them. How can one party endorse three parties? That means what am saying is true,” the source lamented.

Kachikwu’s camp is however, blaming the situation on the erstwhile national chairman of the party, Chief Ralph Nwosu, who, despite being ousted by the court for overstaying his tenure, is believed to still be in control of much of its affair.

Latest report on ADC’s endorsement of the Peter Obi presidential bid was said to have come at the heels of the formation of a grand coalition working for the realization of the LP victory in Saturday’s presidential election.

Truth are bitters..I love Tinubu most but suffer of our people make us endorse Obi. Me don tire to dey suffer, I manage pay even electricity bills, na darkness I still dey sleep, that one na daylight robbery, and for all of una we get elders, if fake giant of Africa are on the right route, your elders shouldn't be left to suffer, they should be given free monthly payment, free health care to cover foods and rent only.

Make Tinubu go enjoy better freeze for his compound, not air condition ,.invite his grandchildren dey play with them with his toys and make them shout grandpa, grandpa .. nothing better than that and we wish him long life but no dragging a place that's it obvious if he even won, natural disgrace still awaits him but his supporters are the most wicked, wanting to suffer someone old as their grandma for their selfish interest, they keep their own grandma for village giving him money and food .this new chasing money meant nothing for the old age Tinubu but the joy of his well being of his children and grandchildren matters, una keep una own baba for village but want they use an person grand papa catch cruise on its name of looting continue for una self interest knowing an agile person won't allow you people reloot easily

ADC should just rest and stop distracting us from the big picture. The race is between APC , PDP and LP.
If APC governors can’t buy votes with old naira notes for Tinubu before Saturday, the race will be btw Obi n Atiku.

Tinubu will cry if he doesn’t win grin

I pray they don’t post pone this election Cos e dey pain politicians that can’t buy vote

ADC party itself is not known so I wonder why some people are giving them this attention.

However,I've expected structureless party with insufficient polling unit agents like the'Andrew liver salt' party should be the one courting their alliance.

Atiku Abubakar lists all the companies he owns

Below is some information on his companies:
1. Intels

Intels Nigeria Limited provides integrated logistics services for the Nigerian oil and gas industry. It offers agency services; cargo services; port management and support services in shore bases; and manages client operations, including pipe racks, stacking areas, warehousing, enclosed areas, jetties, offices, water tanks, fuel storage, generators, compressors, and various other services and facilities.

2. Prodeco

Prodeco operates in Nigeria with two companies: Prodeco (Property Development Company) operating within the main territory of Nigeria and Prodeco International operating in Oil & Gas Free Zones. The first company was incorporated in March 1996 as a property development company. Over the years, PRODECO has engaged in building, marine, and infrastructural construction for various clients in the oil and gas industry.

3. Atiku Abubakar farm

He also has a farm in Adamawa state. In 1981 he moved into agriculture, acquiring 2,500 hectares of land near Yola to start a maize and cotton farm. The business fell on hard times and closed in 1986. "My first foray into agriculture, in the 1980s, ended in failure," he once said in 2014. However, since then his farm has expanded and blossomed.

4. ABTI schools

The major part of this is the American University of Nigeria (AUN). It is located in the city of Yola, capital of Adamawa, one of Nigeria's 36 states. The campus, which occupies nearly 1000 hectares, is a serene mixture of desert and farmland. Adamawa, one of the six states in northeast Nigeria, shares the longest borderline with Cameroon Republic.

Is everyone supporting Peter Obi a pathetic liar just like the useless man who hides money looted from Anambrarians in Panama, while pretending to be a stingy pauper to scam those who are not diligent in information searching for fact-checked sharing?

[quote author=SATANICALLY
:
In a 2018 interview, Peter Obi said he invested $20 million in International Breweries on behalf of Anambra state as a governor.

Obi’s claim was in response to questions on economic development, Anambra politics and his presidential ambition.

“… Anambra state is the single-highest shareholder in that facility. I invested in it, over $20 million,” Obi had said.

“It is worth almost $100 [million] today. That’s what government should do.”

TheCable had previously fact-checked some of the claims.

Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, also debunked a recent statement ascribed to him regarding the investment.

International Breweries (IB) Plc is a subsidiary of the world’s largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) — a multinational drink and brewing giant based in Leuven, Belgium.

In its 2021 audited financial statement, the company said it holds 43 percent economic interest in International Breweries Plc, a publicly listed company in Nigeria.

According to a report by The Nation, AB InBev merged its Nigerian operations under a single corporate entity in 2017. It had three indirect Nigerian subsidiaries — International Breweries Plc, Intafact Beverages Limited and Pabod Breweries Limited. SABMiller Nigeria Holdings BV — another subsidiary of AB InBev — was also a major stakeholder in Intafact and Pabod.

ANAMBRA’S INVESTMENT

In a statement made available to TheCable on Tuesday, Ifeatu Onejeme, Anambra’s commissioner of finance, confirmed that Peter Obi’s administration invested the sum of N1,955,535,247.00 (an equivalent of approximately $12,616,356.43 at the then average CBN exchange rate of N155.00/$1) in Intafact Beverages Limited, a green-field brewery set up in Onitsha by SABMiller Breweries of South Africa in 2012.

Onejeme added that the state government still holds 407,321,264 ordinary shares of International Breweries Plc in exchange for the Intafact Beverages Limited investment.

“Based on the NGX closing price of N5.50 as of 20/6/22, these shares were valued at N2,240,266,952 on that date,” the statement reads in part.

“Based on the Central Bank of Nigeria I&E exchange rate of N415.75/US$1.00 on same June 20, 2022, this investment was valued at an equivalent of approximately US$5,388,495.37 (and at N604/$1.00 parallel market rate, only US$3,709,051.24).”
