The Labour Party (LP) has called for the postponement of the National Assembly election scheduled to be conducted alongside the presidential poll next Saturday over omission of the party’s logo in the Senatorial and House of Representatives’ ballot papers.

Chairman of the party, Dayo Ekong made the call at a press conference in Lagos following receipt of the ballot papers for the National Assembly elections.

Ekong, called on INEC to reschedule the election until the party’s candidates were included on the ballots.

According to her, as Nigerians prepare to go to the polls on Saturday to elect a new President and members of the Senate and House of Representatives, the LP is decrying the flagrant exclusion of the Labour Party National Assembly candidates on the ballot papers.

Ekong called out INEC to either correct what she described as anomaly or reschedule the National Assembly elections.

“This malicious “error” was found out this morning in Lagos, by me and my team of executive members during the routine inspection of election materials.

“It was at inspection that it was discovered that Labour Party was not listed for the election for Senate in and House of Representatives in Lagos State. This is unacceptable and a wicked way of disenfranchising Lagos electorates.

“We cannot accept this as we do not believe that INEC made a mistake but rather, a deliberate, malicious and intentional act by INEC at disenfranchising our Supporters from exercising their civic rights which is unacceptable,” Ekong said.

She added that further checks on the INEC website revealed that the list of names of Lagos Labour Party National Assembly was not uploaded “even as the list and court orders for same were duly submitted to INEC and acknowledged.”

“You will all recall how we have severally pointed out the bias displayed by the current INEC REC in Lagos State towards our Party and his increasing attacks on our leaders that have constantly pointed out these biases in the past and current onslaught on our Party.

” Is this the result of the culmination of those attacks?

“We call on all Stakeholders, Foreign Observers, Lovers of Democracy and International Community to quickly wade in and call INEC to order to do the needful,” Ekong said.

NAN reports that the event was attended by the Governorship Candidate of the party, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, other candidates and the state executive committee members. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)

Before you vote on Saturday, please ask yourself as to whether you can justify the resources your family spent on your education if it is really worth it after all and ask whether you indeed just went to school or were genuinely educated when you honestly answer these questions below:
 Who has the best verified records of achievements among the leading candidates?
 Why should you vote for a man under whose administration could not conduct a single Local government election for almost 8 years?
 Why should I vote for a man that did not care for ASUU to go on strike for more than 7 months? And who to told you that he will not do the worst if elected as president for the ASUU at national level?
 Why should I vote for a man that sent many souls to their graves through doctors strike for more than a year – 13 months. Can Nigeria survive such a wicked leader?
 And why should I vote for a man that increased the poverty level of his people from 20% to 54% as attested to by his state governor?
 Why should I vote for a man that laundered his state treasury to Panama to fund his family business while many of his people are migrating to other parts of the country because of poverty
 Only indomie generation that just went to school but never educated will not analyse the candidates and judge them from their past records. Adults don’t get deceived easily. No wonder many of them could not pass job interviews.
 Do you remember and think about Akwuzu SARS leading to so many dead bodies dumped at the river
 How could you forget so soon the corruption involving over N250million caught with a candidate entourage in Lagos, Nigeria if you are not an indomie generation?
 Why should a reasonable youth vote for a man that commercialise education from primary school at the time many governors were running education in their state free? Haba!
 Only fake man of God or stupid orangutan will support an Ipob candidate whose leader has told his foolish followers that any Igbo attending a church being led by a Yoruba man is not fit to be a human being
May we never labour in vain.

This is what happens when you are reckless and politically ignorant. Eyin alagbara ma mo ero (all brawn uncouth mob with obnoxiously poor intellect)

You have spent the past 8 months insulting; cursing and mocking the leaders of non Igbo tribes yet the most basic civic responsibilities you did not do it.

It was just two weeks ago most of you knew you did multiple registration in contravention of INEC rules and one day to election, you just knew that lp has no candidate for the 3 senate districts in Lagos and all the House of reps federal constituencies.

Little wonder most of you do not have pvc. smh. Ballot papers are handled at INEC Hq so leave out Lagos REC and learn from your naivety.
check my signature for free stuffs!

Here is why lp is not participating in all Lagos NA seats elections tomorrow https://www.nairaland.com/7582953/why-inec-omitted-lagos-candidates

These better not be true oo. If not a rerun would have to set if the election is concluded.

What type of dirty style of politics is Tinubu using like this.

This is the so called damn structure they all have.

I dreamt Tinubu won the election but I rejected, cash and forbid the dream immediately.

God forbid that Tinubu becomes president. You all will miss Buhari more than how you missed Jonathan.

This better not be true or INEC will have to answer to Nigerians.
