Nobody ever doubted Buhari's influence in the North. Only a political neophyte would. You can see from the results of the 2011 elections. As for now, a lot of factors are in play.

Tinubu would get votes from the North because of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, but many northerners are disillusioned from Buhari's leadership. They feel he didn't do well for the North and tipped Atiku to replace him. Atiku will win Katsina among other Buhari's strong zones. Then there is Kwankwaso doing the spoiler. He will win APC in Kano with a small margin and do very well in Jigawa and other North-Western states.

Then Obi has changed the dynamics down South plus his support from Northern Christians. Let's watch how it all unfolds. Lastly, listen to your conscience and let it guide you. Vote LP, Vote Peter Obi.
