Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

They might ask that your kids have a full medical examination to see if there are signs of abuse on their body (whip marks, bruises, finger nail marks on their upper hand, etc)

If you've not already done so, examine your kids and have a plausible explanation for any mark on their bodies, so that you are well prepared.

If you've abused your kids and left them with scars or marks or bruises, your own don be be that undecided lipsrsealed

If no marks or anything concerning is found, you might be able to get away with attending parenting classes/courses and social services might close the case.

Were you forcing your kids to do their homework? Did you leave them upset and very distressed over completion of their homework? Harming a child doesn't have to be physical- it can be mental or emotional harm.

For you to have signed/agreed to the advice/recommendation from the social worker on this issue suggests you must have done something wrong in terms of your parenting style (intentionally or unintentionally)

For those suggesting legal advice, lawyers aren't really interested at this stage until the kids are removed from home through a court order. Lawyers fees for such child protection cases start from minimum £200+ VAT PER HOUR.

The best lawyers that handle such cases are usually very busy with some not accepting new clients. The threshold for claiming legal aid for such cases is also very high.

So it's in your best interest to do what you can to avoid legal intervention.

And if you want the best representation ....... Get a barrister @ £600 - £1200 per hour .........😜

Allow me to rephrase that ... This is one issue I have with the deceitful, hypocritical, sanctimoniosly, pharaseeism, double standard, double-dealing, self-acclaimed defender of the society, getting children adopted or taking into foster care with pretense, will it gaurantee the child is properly raised? ...
? is, why do we have lots of societal ill vice in predominantly BAME areas.
PS: I condemned in the strongest term, abuse in the family, whether against children or wife or husband. #NoToAbuse

Just asking? cant the parents being investigated send their kids back to naija for holiday immediately and leave them there till the dust is settled. some British parents are bad with parenting, very bad. with what I have seen here in the space of one year, yet the focus of some of this social workers is on gullible immigrants. Abuse in any form should not be tolerated but cant we all see a pattern here that a particular group is being targeted.

After all the stress of cost of living in this UK, one will now add Social Worker matter to the mix.

Hahaha...wahala.

I've made up my mind to buy it. I wanted to pay the full deposit if not that he came up with holding deposit.

It's a 2019 car (registered late 2019) so still has about 18 months manufacturer's warranty, this is what is giving me peace of mind.

Some bank apps have option to create a pot or something like that to keep aside money you don't want to touch.

Moneybox also have different account packages (like withdraw once in a month, one month notice before withdrawal kind of things etc?) with better interest rates than banks.

Good morning everyone , please i need advice on my PWS. My tier 4 will expires in the next 6 days, and I applied for my PWS visa yesterday. I later got a mail from my school this morning that I need to re-sit one of my course. previously, I have checked everything through my hod and everything is fine on my coursework not until this morning when I received a mail from exam board. I'm scaring because I submitted my PWS visa application yesterday. I make a decision Swiftly because I don't want to take the risky of living in the UK with no Valid visa. I'm dilemma, what should I do now.

How come you are just finding out this morning? I thought they let students know well in advance.

To avoid rejection and loss of money, better withdraw application and iron this out with your school ASAP.

It will be a miracle to sort this out in 6 days ọ

In addition to what Bourne007 said,

Before applying for PSW, your school is meant to send a communication to you that you have successfully completed your program and that they have informed home office so you can go ahead to apply for PSW.

There is a small clause with the PSW, the clause is that your school will inform home office of your successful completion of your course, not just after your final exam.

I don’t know about getting your money back, but I believe Bourne said you can if you cancel the application, but before your next application, wait for your schools mail confirming they have sent information to the home office.

Good afternoon all

I did my biometrics for my passport renewal and with the help of a friend in Abuja it was printed the following week. The 6th February. A copy was actually sent to me from Abuja and I was asked to go pick it up in London. But because I used a registered self addressed envelope, I have been tracking it since feb 6th till date and they don’t seem to have the record. Should I start going to London for it? Why did the immigration force you to pay for delivery and still refuse to send it? Is there any number to call in London to complain ? Rather than travelling to London from West Midlands

Hey guys, how were you able to secure car finance with less than 3 years address in the UK. All the lenders I've seen are asking for 3 years UK address history.

Hello house, I need help.

I have been having difficulties getting house in Northern Ireland, Londonderry specifically. I would be glad if anyone can help me with private landlords or agent that could help secure one.
It's been crazy, I've been house hunting since December.

Try putting your addresses in the last 3 years and see. It may not be only UK addresses that are acceptable.

You may be able to put your Nigerian / out of country address. It’s also easier if you called the finance company on phone and got them to handle it for you. Once your score is good you should be fine.
