Fut9ure:Your analysis is wrong, iam Obidient to the bone marrow, I am Yoruba by tribe, I voted for the first time in my life because of PO and I know too many people like me, stop attributing everything to tribal issue, we are all pained with the outcome of the useless election, we know they own the judiciary but it's not over yet, our principal is a fighter, he has done it b4, he can do it again. Stop calling out yorubas everytime, it's wrong, we are not tribalistic as u said. |

the hatred and intolerance of these brothers from poto-poto region haven't left them. in fact, it is their regional identity... Now, some Unscrupulous and disgruntled Igbo- headed are looking for a genuine and peaceful group they will masquerade to perpetrate their heinous crime as they did in #EndSARs.wherby some among them carried out a thought-out plan to burn the whole 32-seater buses locked up at Oyinbo BRT Garage. |

All the parties rigged and tinubu won. So why the tears? Blame the south south governors. By the way, who we should be attacking right now is Emefiele. We need cash!!! |

Rubbish An election that was rigged and so obvious for all to see. I have been in Nigeria election since 1993 i saw the jubilation we all heard when MKO Abiola won the 1993 presidential election the Joy was massive across all the country's. Same when OBJ won the first election that usher us into democracy. But today we woke up to Tinubu winner and the whole country was silent that speaks alot about the election that it was not the people's mandate that INEC announce. We should stop glorying evil so that we can begin to have strong government institution that will move this country forward. What is evil is evil |

MOYORCASH:my brother ... now. from this Igbo guy's comments ... you have started realizing that the hatred is not for Tnubu alone.. it is for the entire Yoruba people...and.....either you like it or not, when the whole Nyamiri Agenda will be unleashed on the Yoruba people.. you will not be exempted because you voted for Obi. De Jevu... |

Omihanifa:never seen people praise wrong as we do in Nigeria. A leader that trample on the rights of other people is cheered as a strong, no nonsense leader. One that steals is called a wise leader. It's our mentality. Suffering is seen and glorified as strength. We are doomed in this country. |

Nigeria's Nicholo Machiavelli He weaved and pulled all the strings of these political intrigues, horse trading and everything in between until he found the loose ends and tied them with a win at the polls. He sure knows how to play politics. |

Your analysis is incorrect. Both South East and South South vote are incapable to guarantee Obi's victory? The Truth is Obi is an impatient political. Again he lacks understanding of Nigerian politics and democracy: Nigerian democracy is a game of number form through parties merger and alliance in all geopolitical space of the country. APC for instance is a party formed by ACN (SW), CPC (NW), ANPP(NE), APGA(AP)+New PDP + PDP Spoilers (e.g., the G5 and faceless spoilers). If the SE understand enough politics, Obi should have been patience to work with Atiku/Obi Ticket. He would hv finish tenure as VP and become president after Atiku. Atiku will never forgive Obi, mark my words. As an opportunist, Obi joined LP without structure (at least for rigging), adequate finance, experience and even presence in core rural areas, where the major votes come from. Now, he has not only personally lost but wasted the Igbo chance of presidency in 4/8 years time after BAT. SE can still control the damage by merging PDP with APGA, and other small 13 political parties. Then project Soludo/a strong Northern Muslim to contest against Tinubu in 4 years time. Otherwise, SE would have to wait till 16 years when the North do 8 years after BAT. What a penalty to pay for Obi's impatience, Wike's greed (wanting to be president, when SS, i.e. Jonathan, already did recently, and lastly, Atiku's pride and dependency on using religion and tribalism to ascent to power. Tinubu used them and beat them all. Fut9ure: |

I will keep saying it, I don't support his rise to power. I wish Obi and Atiku played last minute ball like they were advised to, but Obi choose to let it go. There is nothing strategic about Tinubu. But I wish him well for the sake of Nigeria. Eventhough, I know he will fail even more than Buhari. The north will remind him who is boss. This is also a lesson to the igbos, internal stupidity, not strategic at all, the rest of Nigeria is busy strangulating any igbo will to equalize and help grow the nation. It will get worse and even worst. Remember, for the tribalist yoruba muslim and core north to unite, the focus has to be igbos. The minorities can be easily swayed through intimidation and/or some favors. They is nothing strategic about this win. Watch when his true colors will start coming out. A section of the country cannot win elections unless they maybe convert to Islam and swear an oath of allegiance to destroy the igbos, even if you are igbos. The fassad of yorubas are 50/50 muslim and Christians is and has always been a joke, the real percentage is 80/20, in favor of the muslims, and yeah their muslims can go to any church if dem hear say food go dey. The only people and region these tribalist people fear and respect is the north. And as long as the north say we will back you, they have chanced out the Christians in the south west and now looking on how to totally control all of the south to strategically finish the igbos. They have reasoned that if they can contain the igbos well and reduce their numbers, the other small tribes around are easy to manage at will. I pray for peace, but I am not hopeful. And the igbos will have to face the wrath to adjust, but it will be a painful wrath. No matter how much the igbos try, they will not win any region that will work with them. The north feels comfortable with yoruba muslims, because they know they can control them at will; Yoruba muslims feel comfortable with many tribes around the igbos because they know they can be controlled by them; The only tribe that cannot be always controlled by any are the igbos, so they will find a way to do more than the horrors of the biafran war. You say 3 mil, how about 10 mill. I pray for Nigeria, and I wish Tinubu well, I hope am wrong about my assertions, but i know that the separation and the divide and conquer tactics, will lead to years of war. Igbos will get the early brunt of it. Now, it is a forced thing to be in Nigeria. The north are the real winners here, the yoruba muslims lead by Tinubu and olomo, will soon begin their quest. It is easy tactics, bring down the igbos, other non core north tribes, will see this, and understand why they should be in line. Have just a little say, but have much to say if you are against the igbos. Atleast, the yoruba Christians see igbos and other tribes in a fair way most times, but the people of reason are not running the show. The chaos ahead might be inevitable. I hope not. To igbos now, we are slaves. The election is strategic to be always against them, regardless of how much their love of Nigeria is. Instead of igbo, they don't even mind a controllable minority tribe to make it look like everything is fair. Oh well, I just enter Brazil this morning. Be aware. Onye nuru, ya gwa kwa ibe ya. |

tempest01:What all these dunce fail to understand is that: This is total destruction of Democratic institutions no more pillars of democracy in Nigeria any more, worst Still to come this will result to Absolute Enslavement as Youths across the country will never come to vote again leading to Total political apathy, This is victory to Tinubu and Every other rogues in power and behind, but it's a total defeat to democracy, Total defeat to Electoral process and Total Condemnation to the living and unborn Nigerians.. raumdeuter:Your analysis is spot on. Except you omitted the part where he bought Inec and rigged the election in the most unfashionable manner. Yes obasanjo did same in 2003 and 2007, but then it was easier with analog and manual approach of then inec. This time the reverse is the case, he has indeed achieved the first step to be declared winner but its left to be seen if he will be able to defend a mandate which he clearly stole. The next weeks leading to May 29th will be rough indeed. I however feel even though his huge stach of money may have gotten him this far I doubt his money will be able to serve same purpose again. Some will say this is just the calm before the storm. The game is not over yet! |
