The recent Supreme Court's judgement on the Naira Redesign policy has caused a lot of confusion and concern among Nigerians, as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is yet to release an official statement in response. The lack of communication from the CBN has left many wondering whether the Naira Redesign policy still stands or not. The question now arises as to whose order should be followed - the Supreme Court or the CBN? It is crucial for the CBN to provide clarity and guidance to the public on how it intends to proceed in light of the Supreme Court's ruling. Failure to do so will only lead to further confusion and frustration among the Nigeria populace. Whose order do you think should be followed? The Supreme Court or The CBN? Please no guessing. Supreme court is Supreme and head of the Judicial arm of government.. every citizen is bound by the judgement of the apex court including Emefiele and his oga at the top. CBN is an Agency under the Executive arm of government.. I guess the third arm needs to take a stand to put the matter at rest once and for all. Morally speaking, the Supreme court can intervene in cases involving State Govts. vs Federal Govt. or Citizens vs. Federal Govt. Is Emefiele above the law? isn't it the Laws of the Federation that empowered him to function as governor of Central Bank, abi the CBN is his father's property? 5 Likes |

Nigeria is still evolving. Events will continue to shape democracy in this part of the world. Supreme Court's ruling is supposed to bidding on every arm of government and it is superior to every other the decision of the executive, else the legislature will impeach the person. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not a serious. Everyone does whatever they like and get away with it. |

iExplore: 1. Who releases money? CBN, 2. Who distributes the money? Banks, 3. Who do Banks take monetary Policy from? CBN 4. Who gives regulatory instructions to Banks? CBN Therefore, if CBN does not say anything, I doubt the banks will comply because Supreme Court is not their regulator. |

Supreme Court of Nigeria is a toothless bulldog. It reduced itself to an institution to be mocked due to corruption. Just like all Nigerian judiciary, their justice is for the highest bidder. If they mess with Peter Obi's mandate judgement, it'll be the last and final nail in their coffin. |

0m0luabi: True. Although some are now accepting it. Some POS agents are now issuing the old notes, too, after the Supreme Court Ruling |
