My First Salary immediately after i dropped my SSCE Pen was N1,500 monthly at Johnkele in the year 2000 I was able to buy a local bicycle, pay for a single-room apartment (N150) boy's quarter, acquire a cabinet (family) Bed of N2,500 at least I paid 3x, life actually was simple.

My first salary was 25k as a Teacher after NSYC. plus 2 home lessons, I was earning a total of 85k and that was 2019.

Came to Lagos 2021 and got a job that paid me 157k monthly.

Fast forward to 2023, I earn over 1.5 million monthly. God has been great to me honestly even when am not the best of his child.

E go continue to dey better. Just keep learning, improving and looking out for opportunities.

You must not know everything to shoot your shot. If someone has told me I'll reject a job of 600k monthly in 2019, I wouldn't believe it.

Today I keep questioning myself "How much is enough money?" cuz paid has been upgraded from different works, but man is never satisfied, man's keeps praying and working for better pay/earns.

Life's a rat race and meaningless in the right sense.

I just wish relocate to an isolated island void of all of these.

In 1980 I earned 8 Naira a day working 8 to 5 at a sawmill in Ibadan. If I arrived at work and there were no trees to slice or electricity to slice it with my boss might sympathise and pay me 2 Naira for the day. I'd walk from Mokola to Alakia and save 20 kobo.

I earned 2500 naira in 2002. The salary wasn't enough in a month so I jump on MAT truck every morning from Agege to Ikeja and would walk home from Ikeja along to Agege everyday.
