Marvel is starting to get alot of things wrong these days. I can remember watching a decent marvel movie since endgame. Love and thunder down to the recent ant man they have all been shit. Wakanda forever is even the worse.

What's with Hollywood replacing redheads with black actors?
It's the redhead erasure that's subtly been going on for a while

You mean melancholic roles. Sadist means something entirely different than many people incorrectly think.

In the aforementioned movie and series, do you consider her character a Sadistic or Melancholic one?

Die Hart 2023...4/10

I am a huge fan of Kelvin Hart, but this.. this was a no no for me. This was simply mediocrity at it's finest.

Lol, for where? Creed franchise to bomb ke?

It's mainly because the films are good. They're quite good. And this latest installment promises to be the best with both main characters delivering top tier performances.
I ain't surprised. I always knew it would rock. πŸ˜‰

I'm not anywhere near a cinema, if not, I've have seen it by now.

Having Michael B Jordan and Jonathan Majors star in the same movie will definitely guarantee class performance.

Any idea when the bluray version is coming out? 😁😁😁

Creed 111 might just hit $400 or $500 million ATP or even more. that's a good one, big ups to Micheal B Jordan.

Creed III

Never planned on watching this movie yesterday or at the cinema at all for that matter. In short, I didn't even know it was out in the cinema, I only went to get some things for my nieces and found out it was just 20 minutes from getting shown. The temptation of watching Jonathan Majors in a villain role couldn't be resisted so I dived right in and it was a worth every dime and time I invested in it. It was a helluva ride with no regrets.

One of the most interesting aspect of this flick for me was the musical score. Whoever was in charge selected amazing tracks all through. From the mixture of old school raps to Kehlani's melodious R&B, and modern hip-hop jams and afro-pop songs. It was a hit back to back to back. There have been influx of African/Naija musics in major box office movies of recent, but the Naija songs used in the album still felt like a breath of fresh air. I was particularly entertained by J. Cole's Adonis Intro but more especially by Bas & Black Sherif - Blood Sweat & Tears Feat. Kel-P. Knowing that a Nigerian produced this track and the song entirely had an African & Naija flavour infused in it makes it all more enjoyable. Aryaa Starr sang in the album too but Blood, Sweat & Tears was my fave.

For the visuals, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary but the boxing scenes, especially the final battle was crisp and magnificent. It captured every punch, sweat & blood that flew out. It will leave you totally immersed in the fight. The best boxing fight I've seen in the Creed franchise.

Jonathan Majors was almost flawless. He was playful, charismatic, menacing & every bit of a worthy villain. He bodied the role. The guy is a star. He really bulked up for this role.

It felt weird not seeing Sylvester Stallone in the movie, I missed his presence but he was a producer and you'd feel his touch from behind the scenes.

The storyline was predictable, but like a Fast & Furious trailer where you'd know what the movie is all about, the movie was enjoyable through and through all the same. I don't know what the storyline in the next Creed franchise would be as I feel they might be running out of a storyline to write, but whatever it is, I'm all up for it.

Bomb ke? The franchise has been a hit from the first movie, how would it bomb without signs of visible cracks? I even expect the part 4 (if there would be one) to be a success unless they change the magic formular they have been using so far.

Most franchises lose the plot once they go beyond a sequel imho. Then again while I have the movies I am yet to watch any of them.

I guess I am just used to scenarios where the story gets completely butchered by Hollywood because there is no real story any more.

I am obviously wrong here and sly and mbj and Johnathan majors have delivered the goods.

So in alignment with rocky 3, did Johnathan majors allude to mjb not putting it down in the bedroom grin

I'm scared they'd run out of gas soon especially with me wondering whether MBJ would be a major actor in the next sequel or the main character. If he ain't, I won't be surprised if it tanks. I really don't know whether the next storyline would still pull numbers at the BO. MBJ chapter is coming to an end IMHO, or at least very soon, so how they replace him is what would really matter.

No, he didn't. He was personal in his attacks, but he left out his family. grin grin

It sure looks to hit $400mn. Most might not know it but Michael B. Jordan is the director of the film. It's also his directorial debut.

I Don't have an idea when the Blu-ray hits the shelves. It's usually 4-5 months after theatrical release.

the most anticipated movie in my book based on every trailer I viewed last year. I'm not surprised everyone's liking it. They got Kang, Killmonger and Valkarie in one film, it definately will succeed.

at this point maybe even the fans could write a better script. I don't know what happened; immediately RDJ left it just crumbled.

A Man called OTTO "2022"

O.T.T.O.!

This strip down version of Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino (2008) sees Tom Hanks play the titular character, a grumpy and solitary man whose grumpiness is explained through a side by side back story, with Tom Hanks actual real life son playing his younger version. His life is seemingly turned upside down when a new family moves in next to him. Despite his initial reluctance, Otto is drawn into their lives and learns the value of love, family, and community. Hanks is really solid as Otto and brings his warmth and humor to the role, while still maintaining plenty of grumpiness. But Mariana TreviΓ±o was the standout as Marisol one of the new neighbors. She brought an immense amount of charm to the role and makes her disarming of Otto's gruff exterior completely believable. The film has a warm hearted message along with some deeper themes of loss and longing, but at the same time it plays out quite predictably making the overall drama feel more generic than it is emotionally moving. It's a cute film nonetheless, and a pretty easy recommendation.
Sounds boring!
